Nice additional detail, thank you for sharing it and for Sharky pointing this out for you, the community really helps make things come out better. Lance & Patrick. Nice handle black anodized aluminum.

Awesome, I didn't finish this last night to know the last part was cut off. Glad I can finish it.

Nice work. I dabbled with home anodising over 10 years ago. Think I want to try it back and see if I can replicate.

For semicircular features like that, you can just use a chamfer or two. Much easier to machine and potentially more accurate because of the ease of machining. HSS can also be machined with Carbide with relative ease. Quite useful if you need to make a profile out of a square blank.

My semicircle is so bad it basically is a chamfer :P. Good point though, I probably even could have used a threading tool to make the contact surfaces.

Tabletop Machine Shop if you’re making precision pieces, a good way to ensure a good fit is to machine the components together. I believe Hardinge did that on their HLV manual lathes. Quite a challenge if you working on small pieces though... like you to seem to. On all your projects... do you have a guilty conscience and feel the need to punish yourself? Is this what this RU-vid channel is?

It's such a luxury item haha. I try not to use it too much in videos because so few people will have access to one
