Hi, I just bought your plugin and I can't get the bezel tool to work with a brilliant cut rectangular gem, does it only work with round stones or am I doing it wrong?
Hi. It only works on round gems for now. However, if you use the gem loader to bring in a gem, include the outline and you can make an under-bezel from that outline manually. In case you need it, I will try to get a video about how to do that up later today.
One person said it doesn't work in Rhino 8, but I think they followed the installation instructions for my original kit. If you wish to try it, please try the free kit first because I do not have the ability to grant refunds at CG Trader., but be sure to download the Rhino7 kit (zip file), the installer (a python file) and the installation guide (PDF). And then follow the guide step by step. If the free kit works, you can always upgrade to the paid kit later at any time. In case it doesn't work, I should tell you that the installer script makes a bunch of command aliases (macros, basically). You can either leave them (they don't hurt anything) or you can manually remove them. Eventually I hope to write an uninstaller script to remove them, but, for now, manual removal is the only option. I can give the Rhino 7 steps for manual removal, which may or may not work in Rhino8. If you decide to try it out, let me know. I would love to hear feedback. I just downloaded the evaluation copy of Rhino8. My kit does NOT work in Rhino8. And, as I've just begun to dig into it, I've no idea if I will be able to get it working or when.
Hi, I really like your work. I recently purchased the Jewelry Kit and have been eager to dive into it. However, I seem to be encountering an issue with the Python installation on Rhino 8. When attempting to run the script, I receive the following error message: Rhino.Runtime.Code.Languages.LanguageNotReadyException: Language "IronPython 2.7.12 (mcneel.ironpython.python)" is not ready at Rhino.Runtime.Code.Code.CompileTryFinally(BuildContext context) at Rhino.Runtime.Code.Code.ExecTry(RunContext context, IPlatformDocument& doc, Object& docState) at Rhino.Runtime.Code.Code.Run(RunContext context) I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in resolving this matter.
