I’ve done gold smithing in the past, and it’s very hard to look organized when you have hundreds of pliers, files, tweezers, etc. I’m also a neat freak, so try to keep things as neat as possible - but it’s kind of an ‘organized chaos’. I know where everything is, but I assume many others think it looks a bit crazy. I’m assuming it’s the same for you. All others jewellers will understand.

resetting the work space so important, I’m gonna go do mine now, hard to start but let’s do it every day!!

I reset my kitchen every night, which is a big part of my workspace, and it's a great thing for my brain. I haven't gotten that level of organization in my other work areas so I do a lot of inefficient rummaging through boxes and drawers looking for that one thing I need. There was an artist I used to house sit for who was SO organized. Everything was in place. I'd love to work more like that but at the same time, my brain and process are so different from theirs, so straight up comparing myself isn't really beneficial.

Your mental wellbeing is super important. I watch because you are real with us and relatable. I love the idea of seeing what you get up to day to day and how you execute your planned routine (or not). Super scripted and edited videos are ace but so are rough and ready ‘it is what it is’, especially from somebody such as yourself. Please be kind to yourself, eat some chocolate when the anxiety is high, eat some chocolate when it’s not 😅 employ your healthy coping tools and make the videos that make you happy and well, because you happy and well is what we want for you and what makes watching your videos enjoyable. I dislike flying, too. Everyone around me LOVES to travel and will fly anywhere. They just don’t get the whole anxiety thing. I enjoyed this and as I do all of your videos. Whatever you do I'm here for it. On another note I reset my workspace with each step in the processes of the day. I get anxious when the bench or shop is in disarray. That works for me but as we know every individual must find what works best for them.

Nice to see you. Yes a vlog should be great. I mean I love to sneak into other people's live. Not private, private but like you say a vlog of you during the day when you make jewelry and where you talk about it and you also talk of other topics. I am not a jewelry maker as profession, I am making jewelry beside painting and drawing and making journals etc. I use mostly copper because its the only thing that I am not allergic to. Finally I can wear earrings again without that the fluids are dripping out of the holes. Gross I know... but reality. I am not able to sit or to stand so I make all my things laying down on my couch. Resetting should be great... I should try that. I usually put my stuff down and go to sleep and the next day u restart, but after a while everything is a big mess. So I just doing another craft... perhaps I should try resetting my "workspace" aka my couch and my coffee table and all the mess around it... sigh... in the meantime I love watching RU-vid and yes your channel gives me great ideas and the courage to do stuff. So I think a vlog of you would be good for me. So thanks in advance... I hope you get better soon... depression is something I deal with to. And anxiety... in summer less than in winter. I take meds for that along with hoops of pain relief.... fentanyl, codeine and paracetamol. So I am quite stoned... 😆

I wish I could recalibrate my life right now too. After four months of bushfire, I'm in The Blue Mountains in Australia in 2019, our communities were decimated. My friend of 28 years having chemo and radiation treatment for over a year then to find she is terminal. Then the pandemic shut downs. We are yet again having shut-downs, our borders are yet again closed. I think I am hanging on to my last shred of sanity. I'm sick of mask mandates, having to use the government tracking app to sign in everywhere we go. I haven't made any jewellery in over 18 months and to be honest I can't be bothered. Oh well. Maybe one day.
