Thank you. G-d bless you Rabbi. My grandfather revealed to me as a little child that we are Jewish although he was practicing Christianity. We didn't have a synagogue in my small town in the South because of hatred and antisemitism. I chose Judaism as a small child in my heart and it has always been burning there. I never asked my grandfather how he was Jesus because he was labeled as black with his dark coal black hair and his reddish skin. So was my grandmother even though she had long hair and light skin and was of Native American ancestry and her father was either African or Native American too. We lived in fear and so like the yellow stars during WWII, we were made to accept what we were given. My father is of possible Jamaican or African origin so I don't have the features of my mother, but my father. My love for Judaism never changed as I was mostly raised by my mother and grandparents. I moved later to Omaha, NE where is an active Jewish community. My first visit and worship was at an Orthodox Synagogue. I'll tell you the miracle that happened that day later. There are still Nazi, KKK, and other hate organizations and Anti-Semitism here even in my family. It is hard being Black and Jewish here even amongst the Black community here. Would you help me rabbi? I need some help and support. By the way, my name is Keisha.
My father may he rest in peace. He always loved everyone especially the Jewish people that gave him an opportunity for work. Especially to take care of his 10 children.
I am a sitter for a Jewish lady. One of the best things I have discovered while taking care of her is your prayer site. I am Catholic but we listen to you every morning. You touch out soul with your prayers. God bless you and continue the good work.
Ms. Nancy because someone in your bloodline was at Mt. Sinai when Elohim gave the Torah to the people. The Torah is not just for the Jews it’s for all of us.
Morning Prayer / Blessing : I give thanks before You, the King of the universe. I admit that I am here for a reason. I admit that I do not run this world. I admit that I need You God. You are alive and this morning I'm alive, a gift of a new day. You give me great mercy. You keep me alive every day. How great is Your faith in me.

This is absolutely amazing! My step dad is Jewish and taught me the prayer in Hebrew since I was a little girl and I never really knew what I was saying and now I’m like wow what a powerful prayer ❤️
@@mattrosencrance6048 Prayer song or Hebrew practice every day in the morning it's like brushing your teeth say the prayers over and over. In Shul learning by New Yorkers, I just said the Amen. Don't recrimination for not practice just play the audio of the prayer to learn it. Say the parts that you remember and eventually you will be able to say (repeat) if it's easier to read along find the printed prayer English transliteration. Amen

I reallllly want to find soaking scripture videos from the Torah or Judaism prayers but I can’t find much. I’m not Jewish but I feel a deep connection to Judaism and want to know your god

I believe I was directed to your RU-vid channel this morning. Thank you for the morning prayer. I am studying Judaism to present. I am one that enjoys praying all through the dayI 😊 subscribed today.😊
It’s never too late, I’m 50 and just learned my mother’s family was Jewish many years ago. And I am very curious about Jewish faith but afraid to go to the Synagogue since I know nothing about it. I decided that will learn from the Internet as much as I can.
Thank you brother , because i woke up this morning and i did what you said , i got on my phone and forgot about praying but hearing you video , i paused your video and did my morning prayer. , i thank hashem for using you for getting me to do the right thing and show god my love for him , thank you brother and may G-d bless you , shalom.
Listening every morning gives me strength to start my day..one love brother dont give up stay strong. Looking forward for the evening blessings, please do urgent.
Thank you so much, Rabbi. This is profoundly helpful. Having the breakdown of each phrase with the English translations makes these prayers less of the rote memorization and repetition that I found to be common in my upbringing. Hearing how the prayers are constructed gives them meaning and makes us able to connect with them.
Beautiful. I enjoyed this and this has inspired me that we are special, here for a reason. Also the morning prayer is beautiful too. More inspiration. Thank you for inspiring me.
This prayer is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for your prayers and explanations! I say these prayers now each morning! I have subscribed to your channel!
Thank you sooooo much for this!! I’m baalat teshuva and am just starting to build my prayer practice. This is the best and clearest resource I’ve found, please consider doing these videos for all three daily prayers and Shabbat. It would help me so much. Could you also reply to this with where women who are not fully obligated in shacharit can stop? It’s unclear to me how much of the morning blessings I’m obligated in. I’ll take as many of these videos about deconstructing prayers that you’re willing to do! Today rabah and many blessings on you for your work ❤❤❤❤❤
Rav, I appreciate the teaching. 2 family members have passed in about 2-3 days and I want to be more mindful of beginning my mornings with gratitude & acknowledging the significance of being here to see another day.
Undoubtedly your prayers are helping me so much, the meaning of the words are so deep. Though I'm not a jew, I tried to learn Hebrew and now I can read and write it And by your videos I'm learning prayers now. Rabbi, hope you'll upload afternoon and evening prayers too 🙂
You can benefit from these prayers without being Jewish. Like Yoga isn't just for Indian Gurus. I'm Jewish but I don't identify as religious. Can't stop me from loving the prayers or tradition. You can watch Fiddler on the Roof, you will enjoy this play/musical about Jews.
Amazing how I came across this today when searching 'Jewish morning prayer' and this is posted 3yerars ago (almost pressing time back then). I am so humbled to hear this, I feel like your explanation just makes so much sense, indeed I am nothing and I can nit function without G-D.
Thank GOD you posted this and are ACTUALLY A Jew! I am a Jew and when I typed in morning Shema the first results were MESSIANIC MESS using Shema in the title! Baruk Shemot!
Yom Chamashi, 24 November 2022: Jack, todah rabah. Elohim Yeverech Ata. I am an African American man with a Jewish and Latin soul. I go to Shabbat services on Saturdays. The moment I open my eyes in bed, I thank Elohim because some people die in their sleep and then I say my regular prayer. Ani mehdeber Anglit, Sefardit ve kitsat Ivrit. I learned in Judaism that we should thank Adonai, and Elohim each time we are able to urinate or defecate in the toilet. Most people take those things for granted assuming that we as people will also be able to. Earlier this year, I saw a man in Wallmart store and we were talking and he told me that he has to always use the bathroom in an attached bag to his body my ex-girlfriend's sister had a similar problem, not able to defecate in the toilet the normal way. So, Todah La El for everything.
Baruch HaShem. We as Jews need people like you to make Torah and Jewish life approachable, understanding and beautifully explained in a simple way. I think if more Rabbis and other Jews explained Jewish life and scripture like this more people (Jew and non jew) would cleave Torah to their hearts.
Many blessings upon you for the mitzvah of the morning prayers and blessings, because we don't all wake up in a safe, loving, and caring place or even have a home to call our own. You provided that loving, caring, and safe place today to call home and be home again with Hashem. Thank you.
I love your calm nature listening as I approach the morning. It would be nice in the description of you posted which prayers you would be discussing in each post.
Shalom! I do not mean to quarrel but I’d like to lovingly nudge you to see that how you explain this seems to be very “man centered” the greater blessing seems to come when we are not focused on us but on glorifying God. Even you speak of it. We must be humble enough to get the focus off ourself and our purpose and first thing lire of us this life is about the One who is greater. Blessings to you.
I was told that the modeh ani was the prayer that you would recite as soon as you know you're awake but before you open your eyes. I find that when I make that declaration in that state that I feel I have connected with HaShem in that moment.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video and explanations❤️Do you have a printable transliteration of the prayers? I would love to have a copy that I can keep with me and read as I go through my day.
Thank you so muuch I just put it in the comment section. here is the link. The translation is never the same though which is why I made the video in the first place www.sefaria.org/Siddur_Edot_HaMizrach%2C_Preparatory_Prayers%2C_Morning_Blessings?lang=bi
Shalom..thank you for this video..finding out I am both Sefadic and azkenazi Jewish through my DNA.both mother and father..I want to pray..but there are so many Siddurs..which one is the right Siddur..I read Spanish and Englisj
Hi Rabbi, SHALOM! Thank you for your beautiful videos. I wanted to ask you if there is a reason one should use the word HASHEM instead of ADONAI like in minute 11:10-11:12? I think there was the use of HASHEM instead of ADONAI. Thank you for sharing your mystical insights. I think these details help a lot! Thank you and happy Rosh Hashanah.
Thank you for this informative video. I have read that some people have the practice or custom of washing their mouths out before saying any of the names of Hashem (in Hebrew). If the Asher Yatzar prayer is said while washing hands immediately after Modeh Ani, does that practice violate any laws of using that name before washing out the mouth?
As a Rabbi, I do like this brother works. I wished he knows all 12 Tribes of Yaakov are here all over. Even though they were captive and sold to colons to work in the all Caribbean islands specially Haiti.. we are here and learn ours laws and commandments tradition given to Noah, Avram, Yaakov and Moshe.. blessed are you Yahuah the only almighty king and rullers of the entire universe. You are one and there none beside . Hallelu'YAH Ani Rabbi maccabees Ben Henry (prenord Henry)
Peace💚 and Blessings💙 Too My Brother 💗May God Bless💛 You Always💗 May God Bless❤ You Richly with💖 Everything💓 You need Always💚 Much 💜Love 💙Blessings💚 Always ❤ 🙏 ✨ 🌐🌈🎇✌✌✌
Thank you so much for this. I would love to learn more. If you could please have the script in Roman letters on the screen while you say the prayers so I can follow because unfortunately I don’t know Hebrew.
