The interviewer is really abrasive! This woman has already suffered enough. I would have liked to hear her sisters story. I don't know why she had to be so dismissing about it.

The interviewr was MORE focussed on GEOGRAPHY then on this womans immediate families ( Sister) story which WOULD have directly been part of HER story as they BOTH were in England away from their other family.

Another gracious lady who luckily was a part of the Kinder transport & didn't live through the horrors, but still survived an experience leaving her family at such a young age. I loved the way she described leaving Frankfurt & going to England was an adventure. Only a child can feel so positive in such a dire circumstance. Bless the Meyers who cared for her even wanting to adopt her. After 50_ years being able to find out what happened to her maternal Grandparents solidifies all that occurred. Never forget. Baruch hashem.

This women that has been thru so much........and has been gracious to tell her story, has to put up with this person that is soooo irritating......why ?

The interviewers on this project are so insular and, frankly, stupid. They should have had professional, worldly interviewers. The project would have been so much more successful. As it is, these naive interviewers are irritating and annoying and detract from the importance of the interviews.

Semsem Eini A Jewish friend of mine (whose parents suffered during that war) told me that they used young interviewers on purpose to be inclusive of the young in the project - for young people to become aware. That is, of course, a noble idea, but in my view they didn't count on the extraordinary naiveté and shocking lack of general knowledge of those young interviewers.

Well said. If I had been interviewed , they have binned it, because I would have torn these interviewers off a strip. The interviewers come across as totally dumb.

I found this very interesting to listen to. The Survivor spoke honestly. When she cried the couple of times, I found her to be very human. She went through many aspects from both the German and British experiences. I am glad she has strengthed her Judaism through her religion and participation in organizations. It was just a good testimony that left a good impression with me.

This interviewer is not too bright .. certainly not capable of driving omg such emotional and important interviews.... very sad for the people that have already suffered then to have someone wanting your sitting order at dinner., dear Lord .. I can’t even watch this ..I could slap the interviewers!!!

That's the first testimony I hear,where the survivor and all her immediate family have succeeded to flee before the war..wonderful!!

I love listening to Holocaust survivors because their tales of survival and endurance really hit me and get me thinking, but there's something about the way this interviewer is asking questions that really bothers me. She asks questions in such a way that are almost dispassionate and cold. I get that we need to understand this woman's life before her world was turned upside down, but there's nothing to be learned because the answers seem to be forced out. It just doesn't seem to be very right to me. There are questions to ask, but then there is this kind of questioning and the lack of passion behind them. The sad thing is that this woman is probably deceased. We can't ever reinterview her. Her answers seem so forced they are almost robotic. Absolutely tragic.

It is very disturbing to have this aggressive controlling somewhat narcissistic interviewer cutting in throughout this lovely womans attempt to speak. Unfortunately her intrusiveness caused me to recoil and leave this interview.

This has to be THEEEE most boring interview I've ever watched!! She had an easy war and can't remember anything from her childhood. She isn't a survivor! She didn't have anything to survive. God that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back! The most exciting thing during the whole interview was the changing of the tapes and the interviewers cough!! BOOOOORING 😠

What a horrible comment. "SHE HAD AN EASY WAR" Really? Does HER experience of being evacuated from her home, her language, her friends her mother and father have to be COMPARED to those who survived Auschwitz for example? Do we then compare the SURVIVORS of Auschwitz to say those who were run through WOOD CHIPPPERS or HORRIFIC MEDICAL EXPERIMENTS AMPUTATIONS FREAKISH GRAFTS ETC Sayiijng that *THEY* had an easy war ! OF COURSE she is a survivor. I am sorry but from the Luxury of your twenty first century easy chair on your computer how DARE you evaluate THIS womans life as EASY OR HARD? Outrageous . By the way if you are THAT DUMB to conitnue watching something that bores you so deeply for TWO WHOLE HOURS and lack the sense to HIT THE OFF BUTTON then friend YOU DESERVE the loss of those two hours

Ive studied the holocaust for 35 years, read many, many books from survivors, watched every film or documentary and most importantly ive listened to hundreds of hours of testimonies which gives me complete entitlement to my opinion. It was a dismissive comment which is exactly what i intended. The stories ive heard range from people hiding from the nazis to people being made to watch their families being slaughtered in front of them! What i gathered from this ladies testimony was that she was a rich jew who was alive during the war. She had no testimony!!! It was a dull memory a woman had of the war! Just because someone jewish was alive during the war does not make them a victim.Free speech to all and Shalom to you especially!
