Jharrel Jerome's performance in this show is one of the best I'e ever seen. Playing a character over the course of many years as well as expressing every emotion possible is no easy feat but he did it with flying colours.
Peyton- I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been there before. Hopefully, you can get to what you need. This part made me cry, too. We need a world that is just. One that makes people caring about each other built into the way we get paid from work, the way we are housed, the way our neighborhoods are set up. This economic system- capitalism- is all about making profit off of people, it makes everyone have to work and hustle to survive and alienates us from one another due to that hustle. We need a world where the people democratically control the wealth that they create with their labor. That's the beginning of us making a world where everyone feels cared for. I'd like to say that while I love this movie and LOVE this performance by Jharrel, I HATE the fact that they had the police officer be the one to console him. It is one of the most unrealistic things about the movie. This was clearly done to make it seem like the police have another side to them. But this scene is fabricated out of thin air because they don't. They perform a function, plain and simple, and even if they feel a certain way about things, it doesn't overshadow their oppressive function- because it doesn't make them stop being cops.
In one perspective the guard is mearly restraining Korey, but at another perspective, he’s consoling him and giving him a hug, which frankly, he really needed
Обалдеть, какой актёр. Номер один в моем топе в мире. Хэнкс, Пачино и прочие титаны теперь во второй лиге. I will try to translate. This guy is my number one in acting world. Hanks , Pacino and other titans are now in second league. Jerome, your emotions so real and incredible, you are best.
