Same .. I shared a room with my older sister (also in 2014) and she would play this song for us before we slept .. I think she would cry sometimes to it but i don’t remember. This song has always made me feel some way, but not in a relatable way. I’ve loved this song since, and have Recently became obsessed with Jhene. Her Music is like no other, and I have her in my head 24/7. Not one of her songs is bad, and i get the same feelings from her music every time. It’s indescribable

I can't believe there's over 15,000 people who disliked this! She has a beautiful voice... she doesn't make the same tired old songs all the other r&b singers make... her music seems real and full of emotion. I consider her the Adele of the r&b world.
WOKE White-Walker I think a lot of it has to do with marketing and what radio station plays your music. Artist such as Adele & Sam Smith can make all the RnB they want and get played on top 40 pop stations and adult contemporary stations also. I don't think theres much of a comparison due to Jhene's singing style.
That's true, their singing styles are very different. I just meant that both artists have so much emotion in their voices and lyrics. I'm sure there are others who compare but they're the main ones I listen to because I mostly prefer rap. I also agree with you about how the radio stations, it's unfortunate certain artists don't get put on the main top 40 radio when they should, whereas others get the spots.

My opinion of what she means in this song She raised the guy up in her eyes, She made the guy special to herself, so she ends up wanting him with her even if she didn't depend on him for anything and even though he might be a bad choice for her, someone who hurts her and is the worst, yet she still wants him. She's having strong withdrawals of his presence, showing the pain that comes from a separation of love
