for a while I was really considering a JHS Muffuletta for all the big muff goodness. Then I saw this and my brain was thinking I’d like the Crimson the best because it’s like the OG Big Muff. But I really can’t stop thinking about the Bender and now I am besides myself. Great review. Subscribed.
Awesome demo. Halfway through I was thinking of commenting with timestamps to jump back and forth and shoot them out, but then the shootout at the end was super thorough and intensive
the red army overdrive was one of the early russian bigmuff despite its name so the crimson is basically a bigmuff. and if you liked the bender you should check the colorsound bass fuzz which is a tone bender tuned specifically for bass... by the way great video. thank you

A friend lent me a Sola sound tone bender to try on bass. I really liked what it did to the upper registers & was ok on the low. I hated the fact that that one was battery only and so BIG. JHS whose Angry Driver I also own to the rescue. The tone @ least on this vid & running through a " nicersizer" like the Noble sounds on par with the original. Would be" nice" to switch out the Noble to get the raw un- nicersized tone for those can't get or afford or get their hands on such exotica. Which as irony would have it is the reason JHS designed these clones in the first place. Just sayin.....
Great video. I enjoyed every minute. I think I'm in love with the Bender. I also really appreciate the sound of the Crimson, but I guess I don't need it since I own an EHX Sovtek Deluxe Big Muff - which is quite similar I think.
This video did such a good job comparing and demoing these pedals. Hearing the Supreme blew my dick right off. I found one used yesterday and am over the moon with it. It’s hard to describe how huge it sounds in person, but it’s also such a pleasing sound, so much fun to play. Thanks a ton Amos, awesome videos.
I appreciate the demo! It'd be a good idea to use a cab sim when demoing gain pedals if you can't mic an amp. It reallly makes the breakup sound natural and not so synthetic like when you go direct in. Cheers

Really cool comparison ! Shoutout / your opinion parts are great ideas. Keep on reviewing stuff ;) Bender seems to be my flavor... Would love a comparison with MXR Brown Acid as there's not much Tonebender good compact pedals for bass.
I may have to get a Supreme since I currently use a Behringer SF-300 Super Fuzz. It's a great cheap clone of the original Super Fuzz, but it is nowhere near how quiet the JHS is and it can get pretty noisy and difficult to tame.
Crimson & Supreme. I heard that one can get some similar sounds out of the Supreme kind of alike to the Crimson with those switches. However, each one has its own character. I think that the Smiley goes :( for bass. Don´t you think?
