Dear Professor, You were wandering why they are called “ Pearly Perch”. As a suggestion , the little bit you showed us , behind the gills, would it look like “Mother of Pearl” kind of reflections/colours ? As I said, only as a suggestion… PS: I’m sure other people are thinking the same , just wish the videos could be a bit longer…love the adventures. Thank you Chris from Crete
Squid have 2 brains. There is one that you hit when you gave him the chop and that's why the hood lost colour instantly. There is another located in between the eyes. If you gave it a chop there the head and tentacles would have lost colour too when that brain died.
Also….(sorry about that) ….as I consider that you are one the most accomplished fisherman I am following on RU-vid , and since you seems to enjoy doing/going to do something “totally different” , seeing the monster Pearl Perchs , I’m sure you’d be successful at aiming for “Record Fish”. Size, weight etc… Something different hey!
thank you again healthy greetings always greetings present, seniors, always healthy, Indonesia, the Aru Archipelago, greeting and asking permission to watch the video
Awesome stuff as always Matt! I'm down in Brissy so it's awesome to see you heading South to fish an area I'm currently planning future trips to. Pretty cool how you can head up or down the coast a bit and experience totally different types of reef, species and places. Keep up the epic videos mate
Some top fish there Matt I've worked on trawlers & in fish markets, Those Pearly perch are Stonkers Thanks for the tip on how to get out to the reef with a small boat on the Barge Certainly going to plan a trip up there, only a 14hr drive from Newcastle 2 easy days Cheers Stevo Newcastle
I know there’s a lot of footage that doesn’t make the cut but I respect how much effort you put into making these videos. I can’t imagine the amount of fishing you actually miss out on while telling us about techniques or the fish itself. We all definitely appreciate it 🤙🏻
You guys should try to go in about 1000 feet and drop some heavy jigs for a possible queen snapper or pomfret. The pomfret/monchong is the best tasting fish I have ever had
Cairns and cape flattery are unreal, i feel like you'd have a field day up past port doulgas minutes from the gbr, all untouched the further north you go
Not only are you producing some of the most insane content, you are capable of turning anyone’s day around. You had me at “went live”. All over it like a rash Matty, keep up the good shit mate 🎣🤟🏼🍻
hi Matt, we planning a trip to fitzroy island and have hired a boat for the couple days we on the island. My question to u is, have u fished the reefs up there and if so can u give me some tips for our trip its first week in aug we on the island. how is the wind at this time and are there some big GT`s around sudbury reef. i have been planning this trip for a long time now, have got myself kitted with right tackle and lures.. I am amped to get up there but i hear the wind can be a bit of a bugger... we have moved here 6years ago from south africa and are staying in melbourne.we used to fish off PROTEA REEF OFF SHELLY BEACH, caught some good couta`s and yellow fin tuna. ur video`s are awesome i have learnt a lot, thanks.
Hey Mate, wind is always going to be an issue, just got to hope you get lucky but there is always protected sides which is nice. there should be plenty of Gts and Spanish around but like anything you'll have to work for them.
