Jim Beam is my favorite lower cost bourbon. I'm always trying to teach people you don't have to break the bank on good whiskey. I still have yet to learn how not to finish a bottle.
Love your comment. I too don't understand why so many are chasing the very expensive bottles when there are so many really good ones, often better ones, for less than $30. Several of my favorites are $15 to $20.
This is my favorite bourbon channel. The perfect combination of cinematography, comedy, knowledge of bourbon while not being snobby. Love you two! I look forward to your videos.
First of all, Sara, your nails look great. Second of all, y'all broke my heart! JB Double Oaked is so so good to me. But, we all have different palates and this is why Bourbon and Whiskey is so much fun!! Thanks again for a great comparison. 🍻
Totally agree that your palate can change a great deal from day to day. Sometimes I'll pour bourbons I absolutely love and randomly won't care for them one day, but then the next time I try it I go right back to loving it. I'm assuming that on the good days I'm picking up all the flavors that I really like and on the bad ones I'm getting more of the ones that I don't, or just picking up more alcohol than usual.
Devils cut was one of my very first bourbons i ever tried, instantly loved it. Went to get a new bottle the other day and found out my store didn't have it anymore.... Life can be harsh sometimes.
Results at 14:45 - It is about time someone does this, all the affordable Jim Beams against each other blindly. I just wish you had included the 86 proof Repeal Batch instead of the Double Oak. The Distiller's Cut is the real deal, I have a half bottle left, my TW shows it maybe available again in May, but then in December they showed it maybe available in January.
These blind flight fights are so fun! I tried the Beam single barrel a while back and recalled liking it. This is despite not being too high on Jim Beam over the years.
Love the Devils Cut! Usually I'm a Wild Turkey 101 man but the Devils Cut is my backup! I buy a half gallon of both every month and never have any left at the end of the month.
The wife and I did a Jim Beam flight with Black, Bonded, Double Oak, and Distillers Cut. We both agreed that Bonded was the best and Double Oak was least enjoyable. Distillers Cut was too hot, and Black remains all-around good, especially for mixing. I combined my Black and Distillers Cut and liked it.
Just did bonded compared to devil's cut last night. The bonded is definitely more of a classic peanut butter flavor like the white, but with a kick. The devil's cut for me is much more complex, with roasted nuts, cinnamon, and a richness.
Paused at 30 seconds in, but the Jim Beam Bottled in Bond has been the best value in the Pennsylvania liquor stores for months now (until they shut down). I think it was selling for $16.99 per 750 ml bottle and I loved it (at that price). Almost as good as my usual...Evan Williams bottled in Bond, but about a buck cheaper. Was very consistent (although my taste buds are dead), but had one bottle that, from start to finish, tasted like someone had added 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Not sure that added anything to the conversation, bout I am half bourboned up, so I don't care. PEACE!!!
I have been waiting for this flight for a while now. Happy that Devils Cut did well. I am really enjoying that one currently. Still need to grab that distillers cut though
Great video guys!✨ looking forward to more budget (and hopefully available) flights like this ✅ 🙌 also the other Beam flight you mentioned in the video. Thanks and stay safe guys ❤️🥃🦉✨
Finally!! Can’t go wrong with beams, drinking single barrel 108, runs for $33 in Texas, but well worth it, wish I could still find distillers cut though it’s been a while
Nice show, kids! I've been confused about this line of products. I think I'll still grab Knob Creek. Nice to see a video that shows off Sara's pretty eyes. Cheers!
Guys, great blind flight fight. And the best thing??!! A setup for Part Deux!!! Will this be like the "Friday the 13" series?! Watch out Jason, here comes IBN!!
“Let’s drink five 90-plus bourbons in a row and try to critically describe what we’re experiencing.” I think the cool down came about two whiskeys too late. Love the content, even if it’s not the most “sober” assessments I’ve ever heard.
Damn i didnt know jimbeam had so many flavors hahaha. I mysely like the devils cut in the wintet and summer just old school 8 yr old grew up in the 80s n 90s. Me JB and hank jr had some sweet times growing up in kentucky. On saturday night me and freinds would get hammerd on the kentucky river banks with a huhe bon fire.
Advice moving forward when you're tasting flights always start with the lowest proof so it doesnt blow out your taste buds by the time you get to the lower proof. Typically is a good rule of thumb..
Hi. That was cute, cute, cute. Great review! You hit it out of the park with the all the chemistry, interaction, and love between you! Enjoyed it! Nice work! and keep em coming! Cha cha! Rick
I actually really like Double Oak, but I would love to try distillers cut. Have you guys tried the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse Select? I got that at the stillhouse in louisville on 4th street, i'm down to my last few sips and I love it.
Beam is a weird distillery. I feel like it is not completely a classic bourbon, but is its own thing. It has far more of the peanut than most anything else (almost like a signature flavor), and the cherry and rye spices many other classic bourbons have are just not present in beam.
Of all these Distillers Cut is my favorite. I live almost next door to a convienence store that had nonstop Distillers Cut. The owner is a fan and that is how I became a fan. Double oaked in my least favorite. Now I have to renew my quest for an episode where you "uncork" Beam Black.
So. I just found you guys over the last couple weeks. How do you do blind flights? Do you 2 have someone else come in a pour them? Wouldn’t you know what is what if you pour yourself?
You guys startout loving devils cut then you hated her when you finally was finished with her I love devils cut but it has a lot of rye in it which I’m a fan of
I bought the last bottle of distillers cut in PA. And I just found a bottle online that I snagged. It was also the last one they had. I'm getting very lucky with that one. I also found a bottle of the last old batch of Beam Single.
@@ItsBourbonNight Thanks! Still can't get down with 'savory' so I haven't found a Beam I liked. I'm so glad ya'll explain flavors as much as you do. This is how I like to taste and I can never find someone as into it T-T or with a refined enough taste pallet (said in a trying not to be pretentious voice)
No, I’m sure you’re not. Different strokes for different folks. There are people who think any hot sauce above medium is too hot (which is us), but give us barrel proof all day!
All bourbons after opened and re corked start to breathe and next opening one finds completely different bourbon like more flavors and easily drinkable
