There actually was a little bit of a scandal Him and another Male CO star Had an affair Or something You can look it up of course back then it would have been a scandal You can look it up of Of course today that wouldn't be much of a scandal Or no scandal at all
I like that he says he's not mr rogers in the end. It makes it less unsettling and keeps it from being too much of a violation. Cause we all love the actual mr rogers. That is truly thoughtful and respectful comedy.
The meaning of the ending was that Mr Rogers is just a character that he is playing on his tv show. It wasn’t implying it was a random man pretending to be THE Mr Rogers. Just that, nothing is as it appears on television.
@@assmane999yeah but he wasn't so they decided to make it an imitator. Fred Rogers was not playing a character like captain Kangaroo. He was exactly like his TV persona. Not an act.
It was a bit hard to watch but it's "In living color" and I laughed my butt off! Still Mr.Rogers was great at what he did for children, still holds a place in my heart being a young 'un living in the projects.
Vincent Morris And my entire case and resting point is that shows like South Park and Family Guy are far more provocative than In Living Color ever was, yet you don't see these mystical SJWs going completely bananas and protesting in the streets until blood is shed.
koopatroopa187 Those are cartoons. The second a feminist sees a real woman being touched by a disgusting CIS male is the second they flip on the nukes.
Mr. Rogers actually liked this sketch, he suprisingly has a great since of humor. Back in the day when entertainment was bold, fierce, darring, hard, real and edgy.
It’s a parody so it wouldn’t qualify as slander. The intent was to make people laugh, and it clearly wasn’t meant to reflect the real Fred Rogers. This would be slander if it were presented completely differently as a documentary and recreation of an actual event where Mr. Rogers sexually assaulted a video store clerk and became violent towards everyone around him.
@John Tuya Right-wing Christians are too sensitive about "naughty" stuff while doing bad things themselves, but Left-wing people are too sensitive about race, gender, and things like that. Everyone's a pussy, regardless of politics, religion, or anything else. You all want to be offended about the things you don't like while making fun of other people for getting offended about something. You're a weak hypocrite.
In 1982 visit with Letterman: Rogers said Murphy’s skit was funny but many are not. He gave example of radio DJ using Mister Rogers voice telling kids to light a fire using a spraycan (and that was horrible). He probably thought the same of this Pretend Rogers molesting women/watching porn/and being violent .
While I have heard him dislike some skits at his expense, I just don't see him not cracking up on Jim Carrey or the line "Mister Rogers kicked my ass." While Mister Rogers is a nice guy, he has been known for actually having strange tastes in terms of media entertainment. For example, George Romero was the director of his Tonsillectomy episode. Which in turn inspired George to do Night of the Living Dead, one of the first horror movies to introduce, Gore, Nudity and terrifying violence. Mister Rogers actually liked that movie.
@@hypnotised-clover fuck your sarcasm. What I was conveying was that he started his show, because he didn't like what was on tv those days, mainly slapstick and violent movies. So him liking Night of the living dead, one of the worlds first extremely violent and gory movies in the world, was a shock to many.
Mr. Rogers was never a creepy man...i dont know why they would try to slander his name. For tv ratings. Possibly.. I was born in early 70z. And rember when he passed away..he was a genuine man.
I guess you never saw the Carol Burnett show or the Smothers Brothers or even SCTV, where they once had a great sketch which ends with Mr. Rogers kicking Julia Child's ass! That is a real classic.
Best part is if you watch the whole skit, you’ll realize he was never Mr Rogers, he was a guy who was commonly mistaken for him and used it to his benefit 😂.
That's where the comedy lies. In the absurdity of Mr. Roger's of all people doing these things. And if course they made it clear that they weren't suggesting that Rogers was actually by having the man turn out to be an imposter.
Oh those good old "In Living Color" days, LMAO!... Jim Carrey was hilarious on there as all kinds of characters! This was only one of many good ones!... Fire Marshall Bill was probably one of his most hilarious characters, one that made him famous enough to get all of his iconic movie roles!
