“I have enough. I am enough.” Those words are not just things celebrities never say, they’re words that average Americans hardly ever say, *but should. In the age of social media and seeing others posting their best moments, coupled with the hard pace of life, poor work-life balance etc… we tend to feel like we need to keep chasing “it”. That was liberating and gratifying to hear someone of such stature actually say those words.
I agree with you. No matter where we are right now on our path, we are always enough and we have enough. That does not mean we just have to settle where we are or what we have , but the real peace always comes from within us and it is always there already. If we try to find that peace outside ourselves, we go to never ending process of loop of finding happiness.

This comment about Jim Carey: So then his whole career was him trying to be enough. 💕 There is an ambition that is born of passion, excitement and fulfillment. And, many who are ambitious are actually trying to be enough. Seeking significance, to prove themselves worthy of love, acceptance and connection. I get it, and I love that Jim Carey is and has been so open about this shift in his inner-being. 💕
He’s saying that we ALL are already enough; we are part of the universe, no matter what. Money, fame, all of the things that we think we need only leads us craving more, which is endless game, and the result is unhappiness, so ironically, we already have everything we need (If we have food on the table and a roof on top of our heads), peace. ✌️

I think any girl loves when a guy defends her, just depends on how though. Some girls do like when men are physical as it proves how manly they are. While others, just knowing that their man stood up for them at all (verbally of course) makes them happy. If I'm being mad fun of, even if it was a joke, it's nice that my partner still has my back. And yes she can defend herself but people often break up with their SO because they don't or never stand up for them. So when is it appropriate for a boyfriend or husband to step in and defend their wife or girlfriend? (Nonphysical of course. I don't support the slap.) Never? Sometimes? Maybe?
@@kaygrrl9004 I don't condone violence, except of course in a case of physical violence inflicted upon my SO (or me). But otherwise, I don't want a caveman of a spouse/SO. Because you know, "sticks and stones"....mere words, especially in the context of an obvious joke delivered by a paid comedian, have no capacity to hurt me. Words have only as much power as you CHOOSE to invest them with. I would, however, expect my SO to speak up (not 'man up' physically) in a situation where I am being falsely accused of something or where I need his confirmation of my statement/point of view on a given subject in order to achieve a desired outcome. Would have been interesting to see Jada get up & go slap Chris himself, followed by a couple of loud F-bombs while Will is still warming his seat. And why not? After all, the joke was directed at HER, not Will (who was laughing until her eye-roll of a response sprung his (whipped?) butt into (career-killing?) action. Perhaps she's too much of a 'lady'? And Will's standards should not be so high as hers apparently are? Plus, she's been bald for some time now (due to alopecia); she can't be THAT sensitive to Chris' jocular reference to her bald head if she showed up at the Oscars, Hollywood's biggest event, wigless. Furthermore, had she even seen GI Jane, she would have known about its message of empowerment for women, thus perceiving a high bar compliment within the reference to the movie's bald female protagonist played by Demi Moore. But maybe, on a deeper level, both Will & Jada are incorrigible attention whores (who deserve each other, toxic though their union may be). For some peeps, as Jim Carrey noted, it's just never enough.
Mr Carey as an Actor and having experienced the Hollywood life. I commend you for expressing your true feelings and thoughts. Many A listers have prefered to not express their feelings as neutrality is in their best interest. I get that, but it just shows how contrived their world is.

Thst fact that we are feeling sad rather than happy for him when he said he may retire speaks more about us than it does him. It says we are selfish and want what we want without giving him his consideration. I know some will defend this by saying it’s just we love his film and work and wish for the best but it’s the subtle and tacit message that actors aren’t human beings and what they do is in fact very demanding. He nailed it when he said these celebs want to double dip into everything, ultimately it’s the success and rewards that fuels them. It wasn’t long ago actors were just acting but today they want more of the pie and marriages crack, personal well being jeopardized, so on and so forth. Jim has found bliss in his life and people called it a mental breakdown. He’s just more connected to himself than we will ever understand.
DBDG0499 He said I LOVE YOU and she compared Jada to the goddess Demi Moore in the coolest Girl Power movie of all time. But Jada was pissed, because Chris Rock is so black and speaks like a black man. Jada thinks that she and will are white couples.

@@clairedaniels1877 They have a red table talk exposing their own unfaithful relationship. But can't take a silly jokes. It's not even an personal attack, it's just a joke. Will knows better coming from comedy show background. Moreover, you sit on front row, anyone will get roast.
As a woman who has had her husband come to my "defense" (non-violently), I can say that it can actually DAMAGE and DEMEAN a woman in social situations. It makes us look WEAKER to "need" someone to defend us. Imagine you were a woman at a company picnic or party-- a PROFESSIONAL environment, with CO-WORKERS. Then imagine that someone makes a bad joke at your expense, and your husband sucker-punches the guy for his MERE WORDS. Because of what your husband did, YOU (the wife) would probably be fired. You would definitely not be up for any promotions at ANY time in any future at that company. Reminder: Jada is an actress in her own right. These people at the Oscars were her CO-WORKERS. Now imagine that the husband works in another department at the same company, and redo that same scenario. The husband would be fired on the spot, and could NOT expect to EVER work there again. The wife would probably also be fired. One last mental image: Imagine you are working at your own job-- whatever you do for a living-- just doing what you get paid to do. Some customer or someone else does not like HOW you're doing your job, so they sucker-punch you for it. That was Chris Rock. His JOB was to make jokes that night, often at the expense of various celebrities in the audience. A person should be able to do their job without fear of VIOLENCE, simply for doing their job. All of the people wanting to excuse Smith's violence forget that, had this "company party" been for some corporate office staff, he would have been led away in handcuffs on the spot, and there would be NO coming back from it, regardless of ANY excuses. Btw, I am a *very* bald lady myself (we're talking *almost* Lex Luthor kind of bald), Jada AND Will need to grow thicker skins. "Boo-fricking-hoo," because someone told a lousy tasteless bald-woman joke. Get a life.🙄
One last mental image: Imagine you are working at your own job-- whatever you do for a living-- just doing what you get paid to do. Some customer or someone else does not like HOW you're doing your job, so they sucker-punch you for it. Only thing is the person doing their job kept purposely doing the job to their customer’s or their colleagues detriment, in that case I have seen and heard of customers or colleagues loose their cool and smack that so called person. Y’all should stop already. It’s was just a slap
if my husband defended me that way against a man that’s always taunting me at work, I wouldn’t be seen as weak. I’ll just seem protected and no longer an easy target
Jim Carry will probably take some much earned time to himself, but I don't think this is the last we see of him. He'll come back like Jackie Gleason did, when he is older and ready to bring some more laughs into everyone's hearts. It's good to see him speaking out about right vs wrong on something so important, though.
There is NOTHING more sweeter than inner peace. This is a man who is grateful for what he was able to accomplish with the talent God gave him. Good for you, Jim!!!!
