This scene for some reason still gets to me. Maybe it's because that was me for over 20 years, including a year in Rikers. But I think the real reason is because of how authentic Jim is in this, and of all the pain he must've still had locked away somewhere in his psyche to be able to draw upon to give such a powerful minute and a half within this film.

Same here man this was me about 5 years ago bad on slamming heroin and coke or w/ g if I couldn’t afford coke. So glad I got clean 5 years ago especially when the fentanyl became a thing I’m sure I would be dead if I got a bag with that shit in it. So glad he got clean but r.i.p
