Legendary drummer Jim Chapin talks about the first time he saw Gene Krupa, Gene's urging him to study with Sanford Moeller, and up to Gene's asking Jim for lessons in the late 1960's.
Many thanks to my friend and fellow drummer Rob Birenbaum, who worked with Jim to produce two CDs full of songs and stories devoted to Jim's friends Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Papa Jo Jones, Louie Bellson, and many others.
