Jim Corbett stayed here in 1933/FRH Kanda

I spent a night at Kanda Forest Rest House in beginning-April 2023, deep inside Corbett National Park, Uttarakand.
Kanda Forest Rest House lies in the northern part of the Corbett National Park flanking the Himalayas. Kanda Forest Lodge is the highest rest house in the Corbett National Park at about 1100 meter and due to its elevation one can get a bird’s-eye view of the Corbett National Park & Ramganga River Valley from Kanda Forest Rest House. While most of the vegetation and topography of Corbett has a Shiwalik type but the forests near Kanda Forest Rest House show characteristics that are Himalayan. The fauna near Kanda Forest Lodge also is typically Himalayan, with mammals like goral, Himalayan black bear and leopards seen here in plenty. Although the road to Kanda Forest Rest House via Dhikala Tourist Complex with entry from Dhangadi Gate is bumpy and narrow the surroundings are extremely serene.
