Ron Fuller is just the best. One of my absolute favorite storytellers in wrestling.

The Stud might be the only person I enjoy hearing on these podcasts even more than Corny. I'd love to have him on once a month or so, just to tell some crazy road stories from back in the day. I still laugh hysterically every time I hear him tell the story about Rhodes and Murdoch killing the town in the Caribbean by "running out of fuel" during the match.

Oh for fuck sakes with the holidays I forgot yesterday was Thursday and the experience went up. Now it is after midnight and I'm off tomorrow, so I have no choice but to listen to this now. I know jim is not into real sports, but he missed a huge opportunity there when ron was talking about his minor league hockey team, the guy (along with his partners) pretty much set the entire landscape of hockey in tennessee, set the foundation for the predators 10 years later, and now it's arguably one of the most rabid and fun fan bases in the whole league... perhaps jim just didn't know, but had he been into sports he would've curiously asked the question "did that lead to the predators?" ron was pretty much setting him up for it perfectly, that's a huge missed opportunity that would've led to a very interesting conversation... oh well jim

Jim and Al Snow should compile a DVD and show it to these young wrestlers who think that a corkscrew shooting star on-fire headbutt to the outside through a table in front of three men and a dog is some fools gold ticket to the big time. Then break out another DVD with matches like Rock vs. Hogan, Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect and Vader vs. Sting or even Rey Mysterio vs. Brock Lesnar. I like all kinds of wrestling, but there's no need for that life-threatening crap. It's not what made wrestling a profitable industry and the majority of people would still rather pay to watch a man cup his hand to his ear or do an eyebrow raise and running elbow drop. If you're gonna do something nuts and absolutely have to do it then at least save it for the big time. Don't be Elix fucking Skipper and hit the single coolest spot of all time in a match that about what? A couple of hundred people remember the result of without having to check?! Be Edge, be Jeff - save that 20 foot spear to hell from the top of the ladder for Wrestlemania or some other show with eyeballs on it and an actual payoff. Fuck!

I would love to listen to Cornette do a review on Russo's Truth with Consequences episode where he talks about him. Is there anything available? He probably knows about it but didn't listen to it.
