@@drido Honestly, George wasn't that good a worker. His promo skills and charisma, however, were off the chart. Kudos to him for never trying to cash in by using the Cornette name.
In pro wrestling, it is perfectly normal for one of the boys to take a rat to a hotel and get into bed with it. Corny has pointed out how important it is to keep the rats happy.
I know this old, but I just heard Bruce's telling of this story and wanted to her Cornette addresses it himself. I don't get what is funny about the story of George's passing. Jim wanted to take care of a pet, a friend, and was willing to spend the money to help. As a ferret owner, I get it. You do whatever you can to help them out, regardless of the cost if you can afford it. I'm happy to hear Jim call George a member of the family and go out of his way to give George a proper and respectful burial. That's how all pets should be treated. I respect the hell outta Jim for this.
Personally what i found funny was how none of the things bruce said was false. Whilst when I was listening to bruce I assumed he had to have been exasperating. Personally I find it cute that Cornette cares so much about his pet.
Oh, relax. Obviously not everyone's going understand spending over a grand on a rodent. Most people are absolutely disgusted by mice & rats, & consider them to be vermin. I had pet mice, people thought I was a lunatic...it's really not that serious.
Why would someone apparently desperately hope that Cornette didn't spend money to take care of his pet rat? Those things aren't dumb like mice... they are like having a pet ferret or rabbit in terms of intelligence. Honestly, a big rat is probably smarter than a typical rabbit. I love that Jim Cornette was willing to spend money to help his little buddy when he needed Jim's help. I'd have done the same exact thing and I'm proud of the compassion my parents and life taught me and Jim should be proud of being a good human being too. I'll tell the listeners who are skeptical just one thing... Cornette and Stacey are still married while everyone else seems to be going to sleep unmarried and waking up on their third divorce.
@@tbx59 Well he was making the point that rats are way smarter than we think they are. Most people think of them as dumb rodents. But they would probably be very common pets if they were cuter like rabbits etc.
If its not an animal people like or think is normal then they cant see how someone else could spend money. I have an anaconda and a bunch of boas. I would spend thousands of dollars to save their lives. Just like I would my dog. If people don't Find it to be normal in their life then they are just going to be judgmental about it.
Rodents are awesome pets. I had to get a baby feeder mouse for my baby ball, bc he wouldn't eat. I took one look at the little guy, & didn't have the heart to feed her to Bill. Ended up spending a fortune on a proper cage, toys, wheels & had to buy another mouse, bc apparently they're social animals...but they lived about 2 years and they were the sweetest little things. Bill eventually ate, so it all worked out.

Okay few things.. I hated pet mice and rats until my friend put her pet rat on me (her's was called nutsack for the reason Jim explains in this vid 😂) and it was like a tiny puppy. After that, I can't blame him for being attached as the ones born it captivity are awesome little creatures.. If you don't treat your pet like a child, you're not a real pet owner imo. So good for Jim looking out for George.. If Bruce Pritchard laughed at George dying, he go straight to hell! I love corny's videos getting mad at people, but it's a pleasant surprise to see a caring side to him lol.. And lastly we'll leave the burying in Connecticut to triple h 😂
Ok that's a fitting name for a rat. I did the same thing for a horse in a video game. As a pre-order bonus for Red Dead Redemption 2 I got a really good horse, a Thurobred (I'm sure I misspelled that). He was really fast with good stamina. He had a beautiful chestnut coat. So I was riding him around trying to come up with a name for him when I caught sight of between his legs. Rockstar is known for going the extra mile and adding extra anatomy to things in their games. I like that cause it feels more realistic than making them smooth all the time. I like that more developers are doing that. After what I saw it was only fitting he be named Black Cherry. If it isn't obvious why it's cause they looked like massive black cherries.
Corny: our pet rat, George has died; going home. Bruce Prichard: Corny ran over a squirrel and was beside himself with grief; we didn't see him for six weeks (that could be the name of my next podcast....).

Why are you so critical of people? You don't have to be a social justice warrior, but to call someone a low-life who you don't even know is kinda bad. My general rule is I talk about people the way I'd like to be treated, and if someone who doesn't know me or my personal story calls me a "low life" without even giving me the chance to say hello, then that's pretty bad. Lol. But do your thing.
George 🐀 deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!!! He understood the wrestling business better than 95% of the current crop of “talent” and I’d much rather watch George 🐀 and Mick than Twinkle Toes, the Hardly Boyz or most of AEW
I've owned pet rats. If my family didn't already have too many animals already I would gladly have more. And I'll say it right now: I'd spend a lot of money on surgery if I could afford it to keep them alive.
Why do you always point out the race of black people? Instead of saying minorities, why couldn't you just say "people". I've heard you tell other stories about homeless people/drunks/shady characters who were white, and you never pointed out their race. You just called them "bums" or "alcoholics", like w/ the Bobby Eaton in Dallas story. But every time there's a black person in one of these stories, you gotta go out your way to say "minorities". Lol I mean man, as a black guy, it kinda makes me feel pretty sh*tty to be a fan of yours, Jim. You constantly go out of your way to specify that you're talking about black people when you mention shady characters instead of just saying "shady people". But you never say "a shady white guy" in your stories..you'd say "a shady guy". I don't get it. Does saying "minorities" make the story scarier or something? I thought people are people.
