Maybe somebody needs to dump The Bellas from the HOF and put Eric Bischoff there! He's responsible for WCW kicking the WWE to the curb during the early years of the Monday Night Wars until the WWE discovered a little bit of "Attitude"
The Bella Twins are the antithesis of the WWE's women's revolution. They are a part of the Diva Search era of no talent bimbos getting contracts. Next year expect Kelly Kelly to get in to the HOF instead to women, who deserve it like; Victoria, Melina, or Jazz.
How many superstars have been inducted like 2 or 3 times? Hell all 4 members of the nWo Nash, Hogan, Hall, X-Pac have already been inducted. Hogan inducted in 2005, Hall in 2014, Nash 2015, X-Pac last fucking year! Hall of Fame doesn’t mean shit. People who have never even worked for the company have been inducted. Random cancer patients are being inducted (nothing against cancer patients but why are they in a Hall of Fame for wrestlers?). Next year expect them to induct Shawn Michaels for the 3rd fuckin time, Great Khali, Shad Ghaspard, Kelly Kelly, Lars Sullivan, Steven Hawkins, Jack the Ripper, Adolf Hitler, Chris Benoit, and Michael Cole.
There are some that definitely deserve to be there there are some that are in there because they get down on their knees lol while some who are not in there should be
"Paul Orndorff said it the best. He said. I got a first class ticket. I had a nice hotel. I had a good dinner. I got a good payday and 35$ plate that i left in the hotel room" - HTM
I am not a fan of The Bellas in all honesty. They only got overly famous because they dated 2 over guys and got elevated by their fame. Plus, when Nikki was champion, there wasn't as much competition until they did some NXT callups. So they got famous over some Total X series... I don't fucking care for that shit enough. The HoF is an overall joke because of the celebrity wing (no matter who is a member of said wing) and it also doesn't help they are letting in people via the Ultimate.Warrior Award (although these are wholesome and heartwarming stories, they aren't cutting themsleves any favors).
The Warrior Award was SUPPOSED to be for the guys and gals that work backstage. I don't mind it when kids or people with a story get in... especially sick kids....BUT, they need their OWN award..... and free up the Warrior Award to be given to those Warrior wanted to give it to.
It never had any purpose in the first place except to be good PR for the company. What's the criteria to get in? Where's the physical place? Why are certain people who achieved squat in their career inducted before others who were more talented and better behaved? It's a pile of crap and it's embarrassing that anyone even turns up for the ceremony.
The pandemic is probably the best thing to happen for the Bella Twins. Now, more than likely, their HOF induction won't be in front of a large crowd and they will be spared the rude awakening of deafening boos during their induction speech.
You forgot how over the Bella were. They started "Give Divas a Chance", lobbying for the ladies to get more TV time and better matches. Yes, they were mainly eye candy. But, they took the ladies to the next level, just as Sable's sex appeal and popularity is why WWF resurrected the womens' world title in 1998. TEN years later, the women had two titles, when they broke what I call the "Barbie belt", the Divas championship.
@@MCWAY1 That was AJ. The Bella Twins took credit for AJ Lee adovcating for Women's merchandise in 2013 and all Women's PPV. The Bella Twins were responsible for getting talents like Maria Kanellis,Kelly Kelly and Maryse released in 2011. They had a decent run in 2014-2016 but weren't that great or noteworthy to be in the HOF.
The Stella Mae stuff brings back some great memories. I can remember seeing all that as it aired. My uncle, who didn't give two shits about wrestling, even sat up and laughed his ass off on that one.
kurt king well what is ‘deserve’ really for this hof? The bellas shouldn’t ever be considered to be in a place that has names like savage, austin, flair, etc. The Hof is degraded by nominees that aren’t even proper midcard material. Remember heidenreich? Well he’s in.......
This is happening with the HOF across all sports. It’s this new millennial generation mentality where everyone gets a trophy. The hall is now for the “great” or good not the best of the best. It’s all watered down to appease people and their nostalgic memories. However the WWE is the worst when it comes to this. Their Hall of Fame has been a joke for the longest time. I mean in recent memory just look at Beth Phoenix! Smh how the hell did she get in? The wrestling hall should really only have about 25-30 wrestlers tops at this point. The bellas next to Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan... wow 🤦♂️
"millennial generation mentality where everyone gets a participation trophy" Oh fuck off boomer. Plenty of people my age have worked for everything we have without asking for shit. Also it makes me laugh how old clowns love to use that participation trophy comparison without realizing that the idea of a participation trophy dates back to 1922. You seem like a dumb fuck so I'll help you by pointing out that 1922 is well before any millennial walked the earth. Know what the fuck you're talking about before talking shit
The problem with that is the ppl doing the induction aren’t millennials. Don’t shit on young ppl for garbage you don’t like. Plenty of baby boomers who are lazy fucks who want something for nothing
I remember going to MSG on a monthly basis when I went to college in NYC between 1976-80. IF you got women wrestling on the card it was a rare event. You saw the midgets wrestle almost as often! I ALSO agree that The Bellas DON'T deserve to go in yet. PLEASE let other more deserving wrestlers go in!
I. Uh..yeah. I don't deserve to have a vote as I don't even watch the product anymore. And this is probably indicative of a general character flaw in myself, but I am greatly offended with the Bellas going into the HOF. I get the inclusion of guys like Eddie Guerrero who truly were great and went in right away in light of very tragic circumstances, but geezus. The Bellas? And this soon? Whose next, the f*cking popcorn vendor? The WWE officially jumped the shark. I'm going straight to hell now. But so be it.
@@sergf3624 because, Sir, speaking for myself, I guess the collective still hold the slightest whispy flame aloft that the WWE will one day return home to it's roots. Things like The Bellas going into the HOF are stark reminders that wrestling as it was grew it's ethereal wings and ascended to that place that belief in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and The Tooth Fairy did all those years ago when the real world killed the imagination of exaggeration that makes up all the good memories of life.
Taking into account that Mildred Burke and Velvet McIntyre are not in the Hall, there is no question that the Twins dated John Cena and Daniel Brian certainly increased their profile from a political facet
i had the reaction like some that them being inducted into the HOF is a joke. even the list ive seen with their "accomplishments" is really slim. in the ring i think, but this goes to what you think the HOF should be. out of the ring, they did so much bringing wrestling into the mainstream and that has done alot of the WWE. also with some of the names already in the HOF for WWE, its just a joke all together.
I was really trying my very best to justify the WWE Hall of Fame even though prior to this, as Jim said, we had Pete Rose and Donald fucking Trump as inductees. But seeing the Bellas get inducted was the last straw for me. It finally made me see that tge WWE Hall of Fame is a complete joke and that it shouldn't be seen as a real wrestling hall of fame. I know there are worse inductees than the Bellas but I just hated them so fucking much because they remind me of the worst period of women's wrestling in the WWE lol
@@Ratmann8436 gang was a star in World Class, Mid South, UWF champion worked on top with Hogan both as One Man Gang and against Hogan/Savage as Akeem in tags with Boss Man.
Leilani Kai and Demolition took part in the concussion lawsuit against WWE in 2017. They're not going in anytime soon. Dynamite Kid had a falling out with the WWF, and would have never agreed to be inducted while he was still alive. Bundy turned down an induction because he felt Vince still owed him money from his wrestling days.
@@lautheimpaler4686Kamala headlined cards with Hogan across the country in 87 and was a top heel in multiple territories. Wrestling did exist before the 1990s so get a clue before you comment
HOF is a joke!! The Dynamite Kid who inspired guys like Shaun Michaels, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero isnt in HOF. Neither are Demolition, 3 times WWF tag team champs. Crazy!
Jim didn’t tell the full story of Stella Mae...she was actually there for a while after her feud with garvin ended( because he left) she then feuded with Gino Hernandez he brought in Andrea the lady giant “( baby doll) and they feuded for a little while. I was there every Friday at the sportatorium
That must have been great. Seeing the Von Erichs, Flair, Bruiser Brody, the Freebirds and many others, in real life. How long did you go to the events at the Sportatorium, for ?
The Undertaker hasn't been inducted because he hasn't retired yet. When he does finally decide to hang it up, he'll be the headliner of that year. As for Christian, he has said Vince never liked him, thought he didn't have "the look of a champion" and wanted to put a blue dot over his face anytime he was on TV.
Hof should be reserved for the people who contributed to the story of the WWE. You can't tell the story of the WWE without Andre, Flair, Hogan, piper, Austin, Roberts, Savage, Michaels, Rock, Hart, Guerrero, Sting, Hardy, Cena, and the women, you have to mention Trish, Chyna, lita, Gail Kim (like it or not) and I could skip the bellas and go straight to Flair, lynch, and Askua
Not to defend the Bella Twins, 'cause they don't deserve it, but didn't Undertaker purposely keep declining getting inducted for years before he (finally) retired?
Other than bring in an audience that ultimately demanded better for the women because they weren’t resigned to women only having 3 minute matches. They belong, but for everything but wrestling.
I don't normally get upset about HOF entrants.... but DANG.... This one got under my collar! WHAT IN THE HELL have the Bella's done that was groundbreaking or outstanding in the ring? Them getting in before others, like The Rock, or Christian, or Undertaker??? Plus REAL women wrestlers that actually broke the glass ceiling and did something noteworthy. Nikki flat out USED Cena (and I am NOT a Cena fan). This is one HOF induction I just don't understand.
@shepramsey6 I knew that's what you meant..... but I meant, that no, it isn't enough.... they should require more. The wrestler should have actually DONE something noteworthy or groundbreaking. They need to raise their standards.
I don't think the Bella's should be in the Hall of Fame, they haven't been around long enough and Cena made Nikki famous and Bryan made Brie famous also for a company that says women are no longer Divas then why do the Bella's act like the Kardashians which is Divas
The Bella's were the worst thing to happen to wrestling next to Rhonda Rousey. They were both terrible in the ring and all they did was promoted their shitt merchandise.
It's interesting that you mention Rhonda's name and I think I understand what you mean. The Bella Twins come closer to Divas than being believable as wrestlers. I'm not saying they are the absolute worst women wrestlers in the company's history, but they are certainly not that good in the ring. Rhonda is representative of someone who used to be respected by a lot of people, but ended her MMA career in disgrace and the WWE presented her as "The baddest woman on the planet" and gave her the biggest push any woman has ever received for a year, yet she didn't get over with the fans in the way they had planned. She was horrible on the mic and showed that she can't act her way out of a paper bag. The problem with people like the Bella Twins and Rhonda is that they take the spotlight away from much better and more deserving women. In the WWE talent and work ethic does not equal success. It usually is given to people that know someone, related to someone or have slept with someone .
He absolutely deserves it, but the story I read years ago is Vince prefers living celebrities for the celebrity wing, so he can get that Hollywood rub from having them on the show.
I think putting them in a Hall of Fame is kind of ridiculous, especially this early, but I have nothing against the Bella twins. They are obviously fans of the business, and while their personalities made them seem a bit shallow, they're love of wrestling and the fact that Brie has a happy marriage with Daniel Bryan shows that there's a little more depth to her than we see on a reality show. as for the work, if you ignore their comebacks where the ring rust was really apparent (wasn't it Nikki who kept trying to do stunts that she wasn't prepared for and injured people?), While I don't think they're the greatest, their work was always solid enough for me.
Just my take, but while the Bella Twins certainly don't belong in a general pro wrestling HoF I can genuinely see a case for them being in a "WWE" HoF. As much as many fans are loathe to admit it, these two were fairly major stars for the company for the better part of a decade and still do have a sizable following. TBH I think they might actually be some of the more recognizable names among the general public when it comes to the current generation of wrestling personalities.
No they weren't stars its why they came back after their Hollywood career failed....as far as fans most of their fans are just fat fanboys who are fantasizing about them
Its cause some people talk there selves out of the place Jim should have went in with rock n roll but he runs his mouth and his ego o so called great ideas for the biz atleast today dont work because wrestling doesn't go backwards you booking like you running a 70s territory you going to fail
The Bella Twins are somehow getting inducted in the WWE HOF and Miss Elizabeth, Mickie James, Molly Holly, Victoria, Melina, etc. aren't and more than likely never will be. Which is ridiculous.
Mickie James is technically still active (though on the DL). Much like the Undertaker, she hasn't been inducted because she isn't retired yet. Elizabeth should have been inducted with Randy Savage, but her family blames the wrestling business for her death and have said they won't take part in a HOF induction for her, which means no one would be there to accept for her. For whatever reason, WWE isn't on speaking terms with Victoria (I was shocked when I found out they wouldn't even let her in the building for the first women's Royal Rumble match), and Melina has a bad reputation as a "backstage drama queen". As for Molly, she's still on good terms with WWE and is the one woman fans have been calling for to be inducted, but it just hasn't happened yet. It doesn't help that Molly has kept a very low profile since she left in WWE and many fans have forgotten about her, plus she's said she doesn't think she'll ever be inducted.
I think they made this decision as soon as they found out they were knocked up at the same time. They want the shot of them with their giant bumps up on that stage.
I'll say this.. I respect them for stepping into a ring, hours of travel etc.. Wrestling wise not my favorites but Nikki I thought improved a BIT. I guess her arrogance grew on me but damn it's weird seeing them in the hof..now! Ehh a little early don't ya think? Do they even belong in the hof lmao
@@Saint_nobody these days yes except for new Japan & Ring of honor! That's why I'm glad I grew up in the old school days because I could remember wrestling being at its peak I was there enjoying every bit of it 🤼
WWE going out of business would be a bad thing for the industry. For a fan it may be good cause now all other promotions have a bigger chance to expand but for the people working in the industry is more of bad thing. Cause Networks would prolly give Other promotions the cold shoulder cause if they can't get the number one promotion (WWE) then why should they go after the number two or number three promotion
@@brandonselitetv1436 I get what you're saying man. But look at it like this let's say WWE did go out of business emotions that present pro wrestling as pro wrestling would get a chance to shine like AEW, NEW JAPAN, RING OF HONOR, and so on it would be like back day when I grew up WCW, NWA, AWA, WCCW it would be a wrestling boom all over again because people would take it seriously as a sport because it would be presented as such 🤼🤼
