Skate or Die! I spent many an hour/day/week/month playing that game! Oh, and this may be the first pro wrestling-centered program to include BOTH the phrases "Johnny Ace's tears" and "Shane Douglas' jizzm" LOL
Midnight Express is still the best tag team ever!!!!! I never think they ever had a bad match ever. I watched them from mid south to world class to JCP/WCW. They could work with anyone. Rock n Roll Express, Road Warriors, The Fantastics, Dusty Rhodes and more
I just finished watching a dynamic dudes match, the one where Cornette was wearing his arm on a sling. I can't figure out who Shane Douglas' tag partner is, so I did some searching. Cornette described the gimmick to a T. It was horrible and a heat magnet. I feel bad for Johnny Ace.
Not that it'd have been good, anyway, but the Dynamics, kind of like the Fantastics, would have been a better name than Dynamic Dudes. It'd at least cut down on the try-hard nature of the team's name a bit.
the dynamic nudes may have been a way better gimmick. two good wrestlers put in a terrible gimmick. they couldn't skateboard so they just carried the shits. they'd pull these kids out of the audience who clearly hadn't been prepared and awkwardly huck frisbees back and forth at point blank range. they just didn't work for the WCW crowds.
And side bar:John Laurinits created the super famous "Ace Crusher" which is more known as #1. The Stone Cold Stunner" 2.Diamond Cutter or 3.Randy Orton's RKO (all variations with Matt Hardy's Twist of Fate honorable mention)
So the Dynamic Dudes were supposed to be the Babys and the Midnight Express were supposed to be the Heels. But the crowd was cheering for the Midnight Express and BOOING the shit out of the Dynamic Dudes! When Cornette hit Johnny with the Tennis racket the crowd ERUPTED with APPROVAL! There has never been a more popular heel turn ever !
If they had come along 10-15 years earlier I could see Jeff and Matt Hardy getting over with a Dynamic Dudes like gimmick. As Jimmy said: guys who could actually skate, Jeff Hardy in particular with the whole dare devil thing going on I could see skating down the ramp and around the ring.
