This has to be very cathartic for HHH. Lost his NXT, many of his pet projects are now in AEW. He needed a win and I'm happy for him.

The point where the guys in AEW said if Trips was in charge they would still be in WWE says how much the young wrestlers valued Paul and his way of running the show and their career. So happy to see Trips back where he belongs

If HHH shares the creative responsibilities with Paul Heyman and if Stephanie shares the business side with Nick Kahn, they can spread out the duties such that it's sustainable. I hope that they don't just step away from the business when or if it's sold. We shall see

The past year has been the golden era of wrestling podcasts. The news has been non stop.

HHH has finally achieved his life dream…to be the most powerful man in professional wrestling.

I have to be honest: I really liked Triple H’s NXT and at one time it was my favorite wrestling show. I’m rather interested to see how this will turn out. I think the week after SummerSlam will be when things begin to become noticeable, even if subtle at first.

For the first time in almost 20 years I’m actually excited to get back into wrestling and see where Triple H takes it. Honestly, it’s about damn time too

It may be obvious nepotism, but Stephanie and Paul Levesque are the two most qualified in that company to run it going forward. So it is what’s best for them

One of the best moves Hunter could make is to give Paul Heyman a top spot in creative. That would take the pressure off and leave it in the hands of someone who knows their shit.

Triple H can have Shawn Michaels in his corner with the booking if it gets too stressful. Triple H does most of the booking but Shawn is no slouch either as a producer and even as a commentator. They can make it work. Hell, even Mark Calloway (Undertaker) can chip in as well since all three are close and have great knowledge of the business

NXT under HHH did as much to advance women's wrestling as anything in the history of the business. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with the main roster

The Game will be fine as long as his team doesn't slack off, I think he's capable of doing multiple jobs even being CEO in the future. Just needs to make sure he doesn't take on too much too fast.

HHH taking over creative is exactly what WWE needs. His run as the head of NXT gave us some of the best matches and moments in wrestling. Even outshining WWE's biggest events. Now he gets to do it on a bigger scale, this is also big for anyone who left WWE because of Vince but supports HHH. AEW should be worried about this as well. More and more talent can and will jump ship to WWE now. HHH has proven he truly knows how to play the game, and it's just begun.

Why doesn't Jim mention Triple H booking now

quite honestly, i'm pretty pumped to see what HHH will do. i think the one thing that might help in the short term is having a more fluid process. i think at his age, Vince was just too grumpy and picky about everything and not enough people in that company collectively had the balls to challenge him and tell him that his ideas were bad for business on the creative side. i have to admit that i was a bit shocked to see the stock shoot up after the announcement of Vince retiring because i wasn't certain if investors actually would see how much damage he was doing in that spot. but it is hopeful and i do think things should improve as long as he continues to stay away and HHH gets to do what he needs to do. i think he'll be focused on the big picture of where he can line up the talent to be on certain spots for a card, figure out the location and structuring things so that the right people eventually go over but leave the majority of the details to the writers except giving them a general direction so that they will figure out the how's. then whatever sounds iffy, he'll just correct things so that people don't go overboard. i mean, you really need to produce some people like a Malakai Black or Andrade because they seem to have some very bad ideas of how to present themselves given what we've seen in AEW where they're left to their own devices for the most part. You don't want to completely cut them off but you can't just open the door and go, "do whatever you want!" and get that horrid barbed wire Jericho - Kingston match where everything goes to hell. as for being a writer with better ideas, sign me up. i just finished my novel. i'm free :)

10 years ago we all collectively dreaded the day the “doofus son in law” would take charge. But a lot has changed since then. For one, Hunter proved his booking mettle with the best wrestling show in decades in NXT Black and Gold. I for one, welcome the reign of the new McMahon-Helmsley regime with open arms.

It sucks that the behind the scenes is more interesting than the actual pro wrestling shows

Gotta be a little bittersweet for Haitch - he finally gets the book, but only after Vince and his stooges have systematically flushed out almost everything he spent a decade building in NXT (Regal in particular would have been extremely valuable at this point).

He probably has no desire and his schedule probably won’t allow it, but I think Xavier Woods would make a great talent relations guy. He’s had damn near all the top talent on his channel at one point or another so I think he had a pretty good relationship with the talent. Him, R Truth, or Titus would be great for that position.

There are 3 names to watch. Paul Heyman, Jeff Jarrett, William Regal. Regal is tied up with AEW but there are close. But Jarrett and Heyman, they both are great at finding talent and especially Heyman, they know to present and produce talent.

Apparently, the AEW wrestlers who jumped ship are interested in coming back now because of Triple H. Tony should be worried about that report.

The easiest and most immediate change that HHH can make is to remove the insultingly obvious piped in crowd noise. It's so blatant and so dumb. You can literally see the crowd cheering or booing or not doing anything and Vince/Bruce was having the most generic sounds put in over the top of it

Just hope they have a good mix of wrestlers. As much as I do enjoy watching the smaller guys wrestling, you still need a bunch of big men too. Also wouldn't mind seeing the tag team, women's and Ic/US title divisions rejuvenated and elevated again. Some factions and managers would be nice too

I wish Paul wanted to change WWE’s product as much as everyone seems to think he does. But as long as those TV deals stay valid, the company just has no incentive to do anything differently. All those expecting significant change are going to be very disappointed.

NXT was 1 hour of TV per week for most of the time he was running it (2 when it got to USA) and a special event every 3 months or so. Raw and Smackdown is 5 hours of TV a week (6 if you include Main Event) and a special event every month. The success Triple H had booking NXT does not necessarily translate to success booking Raw and Smackdown.

Vince tried everything possible to sabotage the great work HHH had done in his previous role. Now HHH can build WWE creative in his image. With the TV-14 era coming back... should be a fun few months watching the product evolve for the first time in 15 or more years.

Triple h make me love NXT

The first thing I’d do if I was hhh is make the matches longer. You don’t need to come up with 5hrs of creative if 3hrs of the weeks shows are matches. Suddenly you’re down to 2hrs of promos and set for matches in raw and smack down combined and 3hrs of talent working matches obviously the bigger the star the longer the matches.

Road Dogg; Kevin Nash; Xpac all get rehired for various roles.

HHH’s NXT was the best and most consistent a wrestling promotion has been in 20 years, and NXT New Orleans is the best show since Mania 19. WWE is finally in good hands IMO.

Update: HHH is doing the most basic stuff and it's already made both shows more enjoyable. Vince wanted to make every single thing difficult, when the reality is that just booking things logically makes a world of difference.

As a former wrestler himself, Triple H will treat the main roster with 1000x more respect than Vince ever did, even the ones Trips is not a big fan of. That alone will have a benefit to the product and since we know he isn't a doormat like Tony Khan and won't give everyone total creative freedom, we won't have to worry about WWE becoming a sideshow comedy of errors like AEW.

HHH being announced as Head of Creative and Head of Talent Relations was great news for the WWE and lapsed fans. He actually loves wrestling, and if he has Paul Heyman and maybe Jeff Jarrett on the creative team, I see great improvements. I’m sure that there were some people in Jacksonville that started quaking in their boots when it was announced that Triple H was the Head of Talent and Creative.

I think this will be great for WWE, this was supposed to happen 10 years ago and the refocus will he on quality wrestling, and I think also they will do a better job with character development and promo skills. I can see more storyline driven shows and better wrestling minds. I see this being nothing but good for WWE, this may also be a way to get the likes of Sasha, Bray, and others back to WWE.

Interesting points being made here. JR talked extensively in his books about his time as EVP of Talent Relations and was emphatic about not wanting anything to do with Creative. So while Trips may have his hands full, I believe he's the best man for both jobs.

Maybe NXT will go back to the great days. Maybe RAW and SMACKDOWN will be watchable. And it won't be all rainbows an horse shoes

I'll say this. I gave up on WWE roughly about 10 years ago. Stopped watching Raw & Smackdown and 100% completely stopped following all of it. I will genuinely give it a chance now that the old man is out of the driver's seat. Hopefully HHH can turn this shit around. Cautiously optimistic.

This might be interesting Hopefully Triple H can do what he did with NXT Black and Gold with Raw and Smackdown since both shows desperately need it in my Honest opinion.
