Doing good my friend. After a certain somebody faces the judge tomorrow, I'll be doing even better. I love the show's program section, but I'll take any and all old time wrestling talk. Hope everybody's doing awesome.
i don't know much about old wrestling history, but the minute I heard "10 girls" and the male names of the first match, I knew it was a Jack Pfefer promotion.
I dont always like Jim. But he should be in the hall of fame just for his knowledge of the history of pro wrestling. He may be the single greatest resource of all this stuff.
After he passes away, his home should be turned into a pro wrestling museum. He has more significant wrestling memorabilia than probably any other living person.
I always love these videos. I don’t know shit about pre 1960s wrestling but I always love to hear all the fun trivia Jim knows about these different cards.
Back in the 50s and 60s, every time you see a new city opening up in the SouthWest or the MidWest, you often saw Mike Dibiase on top of the card. Says a lot when multiple promoters trust you to open a new town or city.
That Amarillo one was pretty impressive. Of course you say Dory Senior and my mind immediately goes to Amarillo, but not necessarily. Impressive shit Corny
@@rockybalboa1847 Lol. I've enjoyed their AEW talk like a fine whiskey for 3 years. I hope to enjoy that surreal circus/freak show for many more. I think it's AEW Lol now.....they've surpassed TNA in nonsense!😄
I got a program from Dallas to 1969. It says there will be a Football Match between Wahoo McDaniel and Boris Malenko. The description of the match on the program is that Malenko will have to get passed Wahoo to win. Has anyone heard or seen this match before?
This level of understanding of a topic can only be learned from having done it for a lifetime. No one reading history and magazines can ever have this depth of understanding.
"The tallest woman wrestler in the world, at 6'2". True, that is very tall. But Minerva, the first national wrestling champion of the US, was 6'4.You'd figure somewhere in the world there would be a promoter who found a 6'7, 6'5, or even 6'3 wrestler. Like, if your giant man is 6'9, that's pretty tall, but you now there have been 7 foot men in wrestling before so you're just asking to be upstaged if you call him tallest in the world at under 7 ft.
Guess the program is an amazing segment can't wait for Jim to review Night 1 of Wrestlemania that was awesome Especially that main Event tag team Title Match with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Vs the Usos Rhea Ripley winning the smackdown women's title was great can't wait for Jim's thoughts.
The Southern Negro Championship ??? WOW ! Whitey Caldwell wins the belt ! !!! NO ! Im joking . Im sorry . This is nuts for real though ! Thank God For Sputnik Monroe to fight against segregation in the South ! They should make a movie about Sputnik Monroe . If ya dont know his story look it up !
I always love these guess the program segments they are always the best part of the show unless they talk about the von erichs crockett Eddie Graham or something like that
I wonder if Jim Cornette could pick out a WWE attitude era PPV card with this format. Reckon he could consider he was largely involved but would still be interesting to test his memory of a more modern period.
its obvious to him but not obvious to anyone else. i remember him talking about some old time promoter being like "obviously they had to talk _____ cuz it was his town" as if its common knowledge to anyone else lol
CONGRATULATIONS.... for being first you win ... SWEET FUCK ALL... had you been 2nd or 3rd you would have won .. NOT A DAMN THING... please be responsible with your prize and... GET A FUCKING LIFE
