Personally I like Pockets, but he shouldn't be in the main-event of the top show. Ever. Great guy to have as main-eventer on the B show, but not the right guy to main-event the A show. 😕

I know some AEW loyalists that are starting to turn on Orange Cassidy, arguing that his character has become stale, and see no character growth from him. Talking about how they are too late in making Miro look like a monster after booking him as a comedy skit, and how MJF is booked so poorly where his program Jericho and Inner Circle is uninteresting.

Idk why people still come on here and complain about Cornette "being stuck in the past" or thinking he's just trying to be "relevant" by bashing AEW! Jim is a traditionalist and loves the wrestling business as he knows it to be. He has spent decades in the business and has seen and done it all. Why should he have to "get with the times" in order for people to stop bitching? The people bitching just don't get it. Imagine spending 40+ years working in any type of business, and then a bunch of ass clowns come in and start making a mockery of it because that's what they think people want to see. He doesn't purposely shit on it because he wants to, he does it because they are an embarrassment to the business. He wants to see wrestling as it should be without all the garbage and quite frankly so do I. He wants people to take it serious and be professionals. And I guarantee that if they actually did that then they would be true competition to WWE and would actually make a big step for wrestling as a whole. Say what you want about Vince but we can see why he lets a lot of people go because the ones people think he should be pushing haven't done a damn thing after being let go. Everyone can't have a push but these marks want so many people to be pushed at the same time. Hence the reason for low, mid, and upper card. Not everyone is a main eventer and that is clearly apparent in AEW. When you can count on one hand the people that can be Champion then you have a problem. They have too many people on the roster with not enough time to actually build enough storylines to keep things running. Which is why they have new fueds every week so everyone can get air time. Trim the fat and be serious and things can change for the better!

To the folks defending Pockets. If he was around in the Territory days, He'd have lasted 2 weeks tops. The first week he'd have done the stupid shit and he'd have either been fired in the locker room, or he'd have been booked against an enforcer who would have brutalized him to the point that he would quit. If he was around in the Attitude Era, The second he started his shtick, An actual star would have beaten his ass and people would have been like "Fuck yeah! is here!"

A couple of AEW segments did do over 1 million viewers apparently and are only 0.1 off raw and smackdown in the 18 to 49 demo, which is why they think they're doing a great job

I haven't shifted too much from wrestling once I slowly stopped watching. I still have my ear out there. The one thing I don't hear, are fans going nuts about something that happened in AEW The Jericho/MJF musical thing was fantastic. Aside from Sting and Miro making their debut? The only other thing that popped up on my radar was Matt's botch trying to do his Shooting Star I'll catch a match here and there, and Tony Khan set himself up for failure once I heard him say, "We want to pick up where WCW left off." As a very long time wrestling fan, I was excited about that, then a year went by and wow. They did leave off where WCW left off!! They started off in the middle and have gone downhill fast. Jim is more entertaining

NXT is way more serious than AEW and Brian would rather watch AEW by far? Why? I've heard him say way more positive things about NXT than he has AEW, and yet he sticks with it? I don't understand that people are at the point that they "hate" NXT. Their complaints about NXT are usually that it's boring or that they book the wrong people in certain positions, and their complaints with AEW are that everything they do is a disgrace to wrestling, and he still prefers AEW! I don't even thinks that even sounds like a bias, that just doesn't make sense in any way to me.

I've never been a basket ball fan and the first time I'd heard of Shaq was in relation to that awful Shaq Fu game so my reaction to his involvement is the same as Jim and Brian's complaining about Omega's Sans cosplay.

I watched AEW Dynamite for the first time this past week since May and I couldn't wait until it was over from The Young Bucks Match to the joke of a Main Event. Never again will I watch the supposed Number 2 and I'll just listen to Jim rip it apart.

Not saying I agree with it, but the whole bat thing was to set the precedent that if the ref doesn't see it he can't call it because they used it later in the match. The problem is that they had to show that to start with. They've gotten so far from basics that the audience doesn't know the rules anymore. I can't count the dq finishes lately that the ref didn't see.

It’s not even that they’re hotshotting everything, even though they are. It’s that so much shit happens when nobody is looking! They advance storylines on the RU-vid show that less than half their audience watches. Guys show up, you’ve seen them 4 times, and they show a 2020 record of 11-5! HOW?!?! WHERE?!?! Every show I tune into, I feel like I jumped in halfway through the series.
