They should’ve pivoted this storyline since both mjf and Adam Cole are gonna be out most the year. Seems pretty pointless now that they can’t do anything with it for 7-8 months.

They should have had Wardlow just beat the shit out of everyone in the ring. He could've "injured" MJF, pushed over Adam Cole in the wheelchair, did a neck snap looking move on Roderick and just cut a promo and be like "I'm the real devil around here. Joe, that locker room, everyone is going to know it soon!" and at least 1 guy could've come out of the drama looking strong instead of being a stooge.

Without MJF in the mix after this terrible storyline what is the hottest angle in AEW?? Jericho vs NDAs??

The most amazing this about AEW is that they were able to make Jim forget about FTR.

A months long storyline that ends with one hurt guy betraying another hurt guy. So now there can’t be a big blowoff match between them for at least a few months and maybe as long as a year. The booker of the year, ladies and gentlemen!

It was pretty hilarious that Adam Cole literally became MJF complete with Wardlow as the enforcer just like he was for MJF, the Kingdom has the tag team a downgrade from FTR, and Rodrick Strong as Cole's stooge and upgrade from MJF faction of Shawn Spears. Hell Cole is already treating Wardlow terribly just like MJF did

As someone who has found WWE programming nearly if not legitimately unwatchable for pretty much the entirety of the last 15 years AT LEAST, it is absolutely insane how much positive momentum they have right now. Yes, it may not be AS GOOD as “The Attitude Era” days. Yes, they still do lots of stupid shit. But the quality of the product has absolutely been on an upswing as of late, with several big, over guys in the mix together. Then there’s AEW. I think back to the night Danielson and Cole debuted, then CM Punk’s awesome first night back. It’s crazy how far they have fallen.

The thing that confuses me the most is that this entire faction knew that Wardlow squashed a healthy MJF, and even if you wanna play that in story line MJF wouldn’t accept a match with Wardlow, you could maybe make him accept a match with “masked henchman no.1” and reveal it to be Wardlow and the crew. Why would Wardlow team up with people to beat the guy that he has already squashed by himself. And let’s not forget that MJF is HURT so heel Wardlow probably could’ve just walked the dog with MJF on his own. He doesn’t need the group. But he’s gonna join them to get to MJF and the title and then hand the title to Adam Cole? Lol even if he’s lying about giving Adam Cole the belt, why would he even feel the need to make this deal with these guys 🤣

THIS. This is why I love Jim and Brian. You can listen to Steve and Larson, Brian Zayn, Bryan and Vinny, Simon Miller… ect and NOBODY goes as in depth as JC and BL. They talk about how the new heel faction had been booked previously (as a comedy act), how the storyline has worked/failed, how it affects people perception and also how the quality of the match was. I feel like when you listen to anyone else review AEW, WWE, TNA.. ect it’s just “They did cool moves, the crowd had a cool chant, the move on the apron looked sick, 4 stars” Jim has the presence of mind and know how to even notice how the ref counted on a false finish and how that effected the presentation of the match. Nobody sees as much as Jim. Jim, please never retire these reviews and thank you for doing them.

It kind of boggles the mind that Moxley's big thing for leaving the WWE was "does everything have to be so fucking stupid" in relation to the angles they gave him. And I can sympathize with that, he wasn't given GOOD SHIT a lot of the time toward the end as I understand it (I wasn't watching at the time). But this, this isn't equally or more stupid?

Adam Cole has a faction, has a match for the world title. Doesn't use the faction to help him win it. Waits four months and helps some other guy who has spent much of his career injuring him and his friends to win the world title for revenge against MJF for calling him pale and skinny.

Part of me thinks MJF will stay loyal to AEW and THAT RIGHT THERE is what will hurt his career and health for years to come.

Why would they help a bigger, tougher, scarier wrestler who's not in the group get their title, then delcare someone in their group is going for the title?? ..and that particular someone wants revenge on the guy who just lost the title?? Plus Joe recently embarassed and injured Roddy and Wardlow. Cole could have turned when it actually benefitted their group, instead of creating a larger hurdle for Wardlow. ...it's so stupid. Their explanations never make sense.. like all 3 of the Regal exists.

So Cole gets injured on 20th September and the Devil Debuts on the 27th but they still go ahead with the angle that will reveal their new big bad is a guy that they know can’t wrestle or take a bump for the next 6 - 9 months. This makes no sense to me.

Hopefully MJF is really done with AEW. He's wasting his star power on such a mess of a promotion. He was the MOST HATED heel in the business and they make him face, for what? The past weeks they made him look like a chump.

I sure am glad Jericho’s recommendation to turn MJF Babyface asap worked, and he’s now more over than ever. I can’t begin to imagine what heights MJF might’ve reached without Jericho’s veteran advice to change his character up. I’m certain he suggested it from a genuine place of wanting to see MJF succeed, too.

MJF turned out to be the biggest mark of all. Hes been talking about the bidding war of '24. Its January 2024. Hes injured, he lost the gimmick that people knew him as, he main evented the biggest popcorn fart in the industry. I don't think anyone had the guy's back in terms of protecting his future

The aftermath of this match/the ending to this PPV is one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever seen in my life when it comes to entertainment. This was flat out embarrassing. As someone who occasionally checks the clips for AEW to see something interesting, I was completely shocked by just how terrible this whole storyline has been formed. There is NOTHING, absolutely nothing that an AEW fan can say to me about Tony being a “good booker” stop it, just stop it, you have no ground to stand on, this shit fucking sucks. And everyone knows it In a promotion where there is very few personalities I actually care about, they’ve done it……..they’ve ruined MJF for me. What a fucking disgrace. With little to no strong draw power, absence of compelling feuds, and garbage format of angles and matches that lead to disappointing conclusions, they will NEVER gain a new audience, more eyes to their product. Which matters when you’re tryna be the competition to a much bigger company. They fucked it up. AEW is a joke, and the worst kinda joke……. and its not a funny one

Joe has been one of my favorite wrestlers since the TNA days, so I have always wanted to see him be World Champ in WWE or AEW. I should be so excited that he is champ. His win was so neutered though.. between the delayed music, the delayed overall reaction by everyone all seemed messy and disorganized and took away from the moment. I can understand in situations like Brock VS Undertaker where they didn't tell everyone involved so that it could be more shocking, but this just seemed like no one knew what was going on because there's no organization at the company. Super bummed to see the spark of what should have been a big moment for Joe taken away by incompetence of the company.

MJF looks dumb for getting turned on by Adam Cole, Wardlow looks stupid for joining another faction in order to give someone else all the accomplishments, and Adam Cole looks incredibly stupid because as we find out on dynamite his plan is to have wardlow win the belt and give it to him when he’s healthy. So he let the healthy guy who’s already proven he can beat everyone up in the group win the belt instead of just helping him win and then having wardlow go after him? All of this is booked stupid except Joe who tricked MJF and has apparently taken advantage of everyone and won the belt.

This didn't disappoint their fans. Their fans think this was "another great PPV". I'm serious, I talked with their fans who attacked me for panning the show right after.

MJF losing the title in a sleeper killed the crowd and the match sucked. Then the lame Adam Cole Devil reveal killed the crowd either more. It was crap and it reeked of WCW 2000. Adam Cole and his stable of jobbers is pathetic and he is hurt and so is MJF so this angle is already Cold as Ice. Worlds End ppv Sucked as a whole.
