There was a spot where Hangman was about to hit the buckshot on Claudio. He taunted for almost 10 full seconds with Claudio staring at him. Even Tony Schiavone commented “Claudio sees him!” He still just stands there and takes the move. Excalibur: “It didn’t matter!” LOL

Brian accidentally saying "take a shit" is the greatest slip up ever

Claudio has to be thinking “I should have signed with Impact” at this point. And the scary thing is, he’d be right.

The part that broke me was pouring thumbtacs down where two of your friends are about to be powerbombed in hopes they will reverse both moves, while the opponents are standing there dumbfounded for 10 seconds. I just felt bad for Ibushi. He looked like he could barely move while everyone had to stand there waiting for him to hit them.

Listening to Jim Cornette talking about AEW is FAR more entertaining than actually watching AEW.

As a Kota Ibushi fan when he was in NJPW, he looked AWFUL here. Lost his physique, constant botches, almost killed Takeshita, moved in slow motion and mistimed knee strikes. It's like he was in the middle of a month long bender and got an urgent call from AEW to have a match in a couple days.

Ibushi throwing himself onto the thumbtacks is a "fuck you" to Mick Foley and anyone else whose ever done a thumbtack spot. The one "spot" in wrestling that everyone has come to accept as the ultimate final blow to a hardcore match, has now lost some of its value because Ibushi wanted to look cool.

Waiting for Corny for this. That blood and guts was overly cartoonishly violent. It was over the top and it felt like I was watching a video game match. Also I am grateful Bryan was not able to participate

I really want to ask AEW hardcore fans who like matches like this which is it: Is this a serious match with serious violence to resolve blood feuds? Or is this just fun and having a good time and sportsmanship? The notion of a handshake following this match is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of or witnessed.

I was there for this, and the whole "we want fire" chant got an audible groan from the group I was with. SO many telegraphed spots in the match too.

You can tell it's a Blood n Guts match when each star gets a 3 minute entrance and the cage door is more freely open than Jack Tripper, Janet and Chrissy.

Ibushi's lack of urgency when entering, saving Omega from having his hand stomped into the bed of nails and when he was carefully measuring the heels before kicking them to break up submission holds was probably the worst bit of the match for me. Pac walking out after his argument with Claudio was silly too due to it just making Pac look like a moron.

Dave rated this the same as Shawn Michaels v The Undertaker at mania 25, and only days after that CVV interview, or I'm willing to bet real money he would have gifted this thing 5 stars.

And Mox is all “i don’t care what kind of match you want. I’m gonna fiiiiight and make you feel paaaaain”. Then the champion says three words… “First Blood Match”! If he’s going to bleed in every match, they should use it in some way in a story lol.

Kota Ibushi is an example of the hive mind among smart marks. He's mediocre, but you have to think he's great if you're a smart mark. You have to think Minoru Suzuki is a bad ass even though he can barely move and looks frail. You have to think that Jericho still has it. You have to buy into all of this ridiculousness if you want to stay in that crowd because that's what everyone else thinks.

"We want fire" is incredible. Their fans, if nothing else, are devoted to this type of thing.

You could’ve televised the Woodland Critters Christmas Special from South Park for Blood and Guts.

The bed of nails thing is popular in freak shows. They are sharp but they are all so close together it defeats any of the sharpness. Displacement is key.

There was a moment where you could very clearly see Matt Jackson being helped to blade via the turnbuckle camera.

The whole thing with the Abdullah episode is exactly how I've felt and still do about AEW with freely letting Moxley bleed all over the place. Someone's gonna get a blood-born disease like Hep C.

I think the crowd was chanting "we want fire" so all these clowns would be trapped in the cage & we'd never have to see these 10 fools again. I do feel bad for Claudio being involved in this garbage. Takeshita was smart leaving. I honestly wish TK would get rid of 7 of those 10 morons ( Claudio, PAC & Takeshita can stay )

My favorite part when when Buck #1 first came into the match he did a drop kick right off the top rope into the glass, but he didnt see the glass was down, so he completely no sold it and really highlighted how fake the match was.

Rated higher than every match of Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, The Rock, and The Undertaker's careers.

My favorite part was when Moxley had to reposition himself on the "bed of nails" to take a standing moonsault.

It's ironic when the Bucks spent years complaining about people telling them how they should be wrestling they kept calling the older guys "CARNIES". Everything they've done with Moxley is the most Carny looking crap you could put on television.

The best thing about Collision is it being all but guaranteed that Moxley and the Elite will never be there. Might have to be on the lookout for the occasional Orange Cassidy appearance, but it’s fine if that’s all I have to worry about.

I've watched almost all NXT war games matches, and I can say, compared to all AEW war games matches, they all had structure and attention to detail, but with AEW there's just too many moving parts and it just reminds me of why I don't watch multiman matches that aren't 2 vs 2 tag matches because there's too much going on, And as for Jim's criticism of fake looking punches, Bobby Heenan was criticizing wrestlers stomping the ground for every punch in the year 2000, so it was bad even then and so I don't get mad about it as much, I mean as a fan who's watched a bunch of UFC fights, Every time Stone Cold ground and pounded Vince it didn't look like he was trying to hurt him, but people gloss over it cause Stone Cold was over...

I almost had my wife into wrestling for the first time in her life and this match had her throwing in the towl and leaving the room. She said it was "silly and gross" and I knew Cornette was going to agree. Such a bizarre clown show, that final match. Edit: Definitely should have known better, but I was getting cocky after she endured the entirety of this week's SmackDown and Collision.
