@@rustymarriott9951 It costs so much money to get a proper lawyer and if he's suing them in California, they might not be able to afford a lawyer and a 1-2 night trip to Cali. The other lawsuits did not give the defendants enough time to respond properly and it got dismissed without prejudice.

Sadly until it gets thrown out a bunch of times, Joey Ryan will have the option of pursuing this as far as he can. But I got to wonder at what point does he give up because pursuing these suits is not cheap. This is why Iike the church Scientology always gets a settlement, if they don't have a legal victory because they do have the resources to pursue lawsuits for years on end.

Jim would end up selling shirts with the artwork on it for charity, with the proceeds going to the Crusade for Children.

The biggest takaway here is from the numbers given in this video, Ryan was easily making six figures a year at his peak. I told people some of these top indie guys were making more than they thought.

@KaneMagus Problem is, how do you prove a case is a SLAPP and not an actual matter of defamation? The judge determines this on the jist of evidence that will be presented, but you really don't get much scrutiny of either allegations to discern much.
