Irrational is allowing market participants to manipulate thousands of stocks to this extent that it has systemic risk. That's what is "irrational". The game is over and you all are losing
I think comparing Gamestop to bestbuy is a bit of a reach. Ironically, Gamestop doesn't really have direct competition in the brick and mortar space because it was allowed to buy them all
Of course short squeezes end, when they restrict buying and shorting. Today many firms would not allow short selling. It's hard to have short squeeze without the possibility of shorts.
Best buy sells refrigerators home appliances home entertainment systems sunglasses with speakers in them.. laptops.. washing machines and dryers... Drones.. let me see does GameStop sell any of these things?? 😉
are you offering finacial advice when telling people to sell their GME stocks? Suppose I sell, and then they sky rocket to 10,000 ... can you be held liable ? since you are encouraging me to sell ?
Why sell though? Surely hold and see where it goes is actually the best option if you bought before the sudden rise. It's just such an empty opinion, Jim values the business but the people buying the stock value the culture. I don't think most people buying GME buy it for any other reason but to destroy short sellers and make 2x for the troubles.
