I lay in bed that fateful night in September '73 when the radio stopped the music to announce the news. To this day, I still have eight of his albums. I will pass them down to my grandchildren and tell them of Jim, Maury, and Ingrid and the sensational songs created. May Jim RIP. I'm 76 now and still listen to the music that was part of my young adult life. May that music live from generation to generation. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎼🎶

You're so right sir and you have some of the best collectibles that there ever was my one of the best performers, singer-songwriters in the world as far as I'm concerned. I hope you also have time in a bottle. Which was the theme song at our 1975 junior senior prom. It was in memory to Jim Croce and it's wonderful talents and that special song it meant a lot to our high school students. And me personally. I am now 65 years old. And I've always been a music lover of course listening to the lyrics most of all. And my memory Jim Croce music will live on forever.

Its's the SOUND of Jim Croce's guitar. It's the gentleness of his voice, his SINCERE meaning of the words, the harmonies, the 70's scene, & memories of this time in our lives. I listen with intent, he is a storyteller & that is what makes me listen. 🎸

I was in my sophomore year of high school when Jim died. I began dating a girl who was in my class that same year. We spent the next 2 years of high school driving around and singing to the tunes of Jim. The joy we had driving down the road singing along with him on the couple of 8 track tapes of his, that I had, while holding hands as she sat right next to me in the front seat of my ‘66 Ford fairlane were no small reason for us eventually growing up and getting married. In January 2024, we celebrate 45 years of marriage. There is no doubt in my mind that the music that Jim created during his all too brief time on earth has been a catalyst to the love that me and my wife continue to share. Even now, I find myself revisiting his songs on RU-vid just to listen and reflect on what an impact those sweet, sweet days have meant to me. Thanks, Jim.

I have struggled with addiction on and off for almost 20 years. The first time I heard this song I could immediately relate. My figurative New York is my ongoing battle with substance abuse. Jim had such a unique ability to capture emotions in a clear, honest, and concise way that made his music so easy to relate to. Whatever your “New York” is, just remember it’s not your home. We all struggle with something but if you’re reading this, I hope you know that your issues are not your identity. Never give up, humble yourself, ask for help, ask God to reveal himself to you and forgive you. Things can, and will get better. God bless and rest in peace Jim. Your music has helped me through some tough times.

I just recently moved out of a halfway house in Anaheim, CA into a tent in Idaho. I've never felt so at peace in my life. I'm convinced the stress of living in California was giving me hypertension. I'd have spells of pain in my chest and neck with no cure but sleep. I've been living and working here in Idaho for the last month and I haven't had a single time where I felt away from home. I'm finally happy with my progress in life. I can finally lay down and relax, not worrying about the next day. I just heard this song for the first time and I'm sure you can understand how I relate to this.
