Think it was when I was a tot before teeth and mam used to soften food but I’ve always dipped that lot in tea. Love the bacon tasting tea after the sarnie. Just bread dipped in bacon grease with brown sauce on, then dipped in sweet tea was my treat. Never ate bacon til I was older. Weird I know but I dip all sorts in tea :p
I work for a homeless services. And; one of the residents in the service gets £1600 a month in benefits. In addition to that, he also get his rent payed for him. His benefits also includes pip. He can stand up, and walk about quite well. His main problem is that he has a drinking problem. And yet; I know a guy who is 69 years old, and he has a heart condition which is controlled by medication. And; he works full time. Young people who work for a minimum wage get les money than what some people who are seen as unemployable get with their benefits, and pip, and cost of living allowance. I have heard some people who I regards as crappy people say to me, why should I go out and get a job? I get more money in benefits. And pip. I go to a coffee house once a week. And; many of the coffee house staff are young people who are students. They work very hard. And; they go to college and study. I have seen staff catching up on their studying while on their breaks. And; they get less money than some people who are on benefits and the pip.
Oh, whoo, hold on. So if this guy is on £1600 benefit and is mobile enough to work and works full time and gets a wage from that, then one of two things is going on. Either his benefits are reduced to counter the wages income, or his not claimed to Dwp that his got a job and is working. For our friends over seas.. DWP = Department for work and pensions. A government branch that covers benefits,pensions etc. PIP = Personal independence payment. This is divided into 3 parts. Low end rate, middle rate, high rate. Depending on the seriousness of each individual disability sets which rate their given.

@@ianmcculloch8531 Pip is an extra benefit that is given to people who are not able to work because of physical or mental health disabilities in addition to the welfare benefits that they already get. In the UK, we have a growing population of people who come from Brocken back grounds. Allot of drug addicts, and people who suffer mental health can claim pip in addition to the benefits that they already get from the working tax payer.
I was down the Falklands in 83 when Jim came to entertain the troops. He had Tommy Vance ,Richard Digence his band and the dancing girls with him. I was up the top of Mount Alice and the weather had been atrocious . The helicopter was going to be hit or miss whether it could get to the camp. There was about 2-3 feet of snow on the ground and a heavy fog. Waiting and waiting then we could here the chinook engine but no sign of it. Then the front light appeared about10 feet over the helipad. How the pilot made it that day was incredible. Anyway they all got off the helicopter and we started unloading the gear. I was busy looking to see where Jim was . There stood this guy totally dishevelled ,ear muffs , combat jacket ,tracky bottoms ,and the wooly leggings over the top , what a sight. He just looked around saw us all there and the smile and patter kicked in. We had a great show in the evening and Jim and the others were up half the night chatting and drinking with us Richard was teaching a young lad a few chords who had a guitar with him. Great night There was only about 30 of us there crammed into this very small dining room. They put on a full show , Jim even stopped at one point to let an officer sitting in front , put a new cassette tape in when his recording stopped.

You probably won't read this as you're a very busy man, but if you do I want you to know that me and my husband watched The Rise And Fall of...and we couldn't believe how you have been treated over Yewtree. Unbelievable 😢 you mention trolls on Twitter calling you a 'Nonce' even now. You just ignore them Jim, they're just jealous of you. You have been through a terrible storm in your life and survived it and you should be admired for that 😊 there were bits of the programme that nearly made me cry...I felt so sorry for you, I could see the hurt in your face as you were being filmed as I am an empath, I could feel your pain,😢 but now the sun shines over you and brings brightness into your life as you deserve and may that sun always shine for you Jim. You have so many people who obviously care about you and love you. Concentrate on them, not the negative stuff. Rise above it all. Take care
I think the Ch 5 documentary did you proud Jim. You come across as a genuine guy who cares about our country so keep battling on as there is much support out there for you. Many of my friends watched it and are of the same opinion. Agree the wheelchair situation at the theatre could have been better clarified. Roger M.
