If you are a certain age your grandparents lost and suffered, parents rationed til 1955. Granny a war widow with five kids and 3 jobs .... Make do and mend, unravelling old jumpers to knit new ones, mum learnt to make clothes from old bits or restyle old fabrics. Dad national service RAF clean shirt, polished shoes everyday .....Now pft !!
My farther fought in the war and I will never forget the sacrifices that those men women girls and boys gave willingly for our liberty highest respect to them all it’s a pity politicians have disrespected our veterans
To be fair to the younger generation, in spite of all the virtue signalling MPs and MSM types saying how important it is for the veteran’s legacy and their actions to be remembered, maybe give the kids a chance by compulsory teaching of WW2 in history lessons! There's 2 turkish barbers and a car wash all opposite each other in the Welford Road here in Leicester, same design on the barber shops and then there's another one opened up about 1.5 miles further up the Welford road going towards Wigston, again, same design . 🤔
