This situation is not unusual, it started in 1987 when female officers were brought into male establishments, every jail I worked at had this problem, the last one I remember was asked to leave the service and this probably happens in most cases that don’t reach the news.

She became a prison officer because the prison service is desperate for staff. They pay prison staff little over minimum wage so, of course, no one of any decency would apply. The old addage of "pay peanuts, get monkeys" applies here.

I think those speed zones are connected to the rev of a car engine . Sometimes you can hit them at 45 and nothing happens. Other times you hit them at 40, it will flash .

It was never a problem until '85?, when female staff began working in male establishments. Before that, the only females were probation officers.
