I live in the the UK and love British comedy but from the pool of American comedians Bill Burr and Jim Gaffigan are definitely my faves. Keep them coming guys. Jim might be my favourite of all time. X

Definitely different types of humour between the USA vs UK/SA/AUS/NZ - I think it's more cultural, but one is not 'better' than the other. Non US humour is more sarcastic/satirical IMHO, loads more puns. Didn't find JG particularly funny, but love Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle.

Oh, I heard one lady said that a rat was in her can of Coke and supposedly they proved that the Coke would have disintegrated the rat before it even got to the store to be purchased! But I still just love it.

I'm British and love the same UK comedians that you both love, also big fan of Ricky Gervais, Lee Evans, Jimmy Carr and Jack Dee to name just a few. Growing up in the 70s,80s I loved watching Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor and Steve Martin, so I agree that comedy is comedy as long as you relate to the material and obviously if you find them funny. I've never seen this guys stand up before but I enjoyed this video. Recently watched Dave Chapelle and Bill Burr on Netflix and I highly recommend those two.

I'd forgotten his name but I've watched that full show before. He's very entertaining. A lot of US stand up I've seen is a bit overly energetic I suppose, so it's nice when you come across someone doing a laid back routine

You are so right comedy is comedy, we have some very successful Australian comedians here in the UK, i can also think of a few Canadian ones who have also done well here. So if you are mixing things up a little how about some classic comedy from the brilliant Bob Newhart. The obvious starter would be "The Driving Instructor" or "The cruise of the U.S.S. Codfish", his delivery and style was well ahead of it's time.

May I offer two comedians for consideration, completely opposite ends of the scale: Rodney Rude (Australian comedian), look for his routine on McDonald’s. Your sides and cheeks will hurt for a week. John Pinette (US), clean, extremely funny, a lot of references to food and weight (he was a big guy), all about Chinese Buffets (“You go NOW!”) and clueless shoppers (“Get outta the line!!”). Not with us anymore, but a ton of great material left behind.

You have to remember. You are not supposed to enjoy watching American comedians, you are meant to pretend to like British comedy! Bit sarcastic, but really... Its the truth
@welshgit
@welshgit 10 месяцев назад
Yeah, there are many who follow that route. It may work short term, but in the long term it becomes more and more obvious it's fake. I prefer the reactions that are honest - it's also quite funny when someone says they didn't like something, and loads of Brits get personally insulted, and post horrible comments. But yeah, you're right. If you are an American reaction channel, to get top views, you must act like you love everything British, irish, and Australian -- even more so if they are insulting Americans. You must also say that American humour is rubbish, and no-one does it like the brits, and ask why you've been deprived of this pure joy all these years...

You definitely laughed more than I did. I have seen him in a Flight of the concords episode, he was very good. I would say this wasn’t laugh out loud for me but funny👍🏽I would watch more if you did it🫶🏽the joke about the clown - Ronald was the funniest 👌🏽

I am a very regular British follower of your channel and love your reactions to British comedians. Having watched this American 'comedian', I can honestly say that I did not smile, let alone laugh, once!! You and the audience obviously found him to be hilarious. I am trying hard to work out why. It must be the differences in our cultures. Is it because there is no depth to the humour? (Please note the spelling of 'humour'!) Is it a way of Americans self-deprecating their love of a poor diet? The comedian's lack of a distinct and original personality? Or the delivery? Or total lack of ad-libbing? It is almost as though a group of script-writers have concocted a list of one-liners and handed these to him to memorise and repeat on stage. Sorry, but not my cup of darjeeling. It would be interesting to know which countries subsequent comments come from...

I didn't dislike his persona necessarily but this particular video was very very American and I didn't find it amusing in the slightest. It was like it was written by a young teenager and delivered by someone who should know and do better. He wouldn't last long as a comedian in UK as he is not funny enough.

This didn't do anything for me unfortunately. And it's not because he's American, I just don't like this style of comedy. I much prefer the thought provoking and controversial stuff from the likes of Bill Burr, Bill Hicks and George Carlin etc. That stuff just hits different.
