From all the interviews I have seen so far in this podcast, Jim Gray is the only guy that looks at Mike straight into the eyes without fear. That says a lot about his charachter.

This is really a GEM of a fucking interview. I want to see more of Jim and Mike. He's the only one that really TALKS to mic. Everyone sees MIKE TYSON, but Mike is a person. Most people can't look at him like that but you can see that Jim does. Almost like a father/mentor figure. A lot of respect was just earned for this man watching this interview, never ever really got to see him speak or interview with anyone. This was really a great one.

Jim Gray looks visibily moved or hurt (that expression!) when he was asking Mike about his father. Jim clearly reflected within a heart-beat on what that must been like, given that his own father was the most influencial person in his life. I'm feeling the heartache myself - I knew my father, a brilliant man, but he walked out on us when I was a kid, and I never truly resolved this pain. He died over a decade a go, but now, anything remotely related to fatherhood (film, music, real-life, animal kingdom even) still produces raw feelings that I can't explain (but that until this post, i never shared).

The silence at certain parts of this interview let's you know that Jim was shocked at some of Mike's story. One of the best interviews on hotboxin.

Takes you into the deep emotional waters of this extraordinary boxing icon and the demons he had to overcome and yet survive and is thriving today as a beautiful human being. Mike Tyson is indeed an international human treasure. We love you Mike and continue to teach us humility.

Mike Tyson has a good memory with dates and names. He's so open with things but that's how you cope with pain.

The thing that makes Mike Tyson podcast so interesting. Is the guy has lived, to the max, down dead ends, up bad alleys, but he came back stronger. Then his strength was in his body and will to succeed, now his strength is in his compassion and empathy.

This is one of these interviews where I don't know much about the person but if I take the time to listen for a little second then I'll definitely get something out of it!

Ya know every time I watch Mike he becomes more n more interesting of a person. I used to idolize his fighting abilities but to hear his life's story, part of it makes you say Wow! Shouts to Jim Gray for both bn interviewed and the telling respect he had for his father but also the interviewer instincts to pull some of Mike's life out of him as well. I truly think Mike is an older character from another era, he's young but have lived a life that we can only imagine.

I wish I could talk to him or atleast know he got this message.. seeing Mike come back in his 50s and being amazed at how he moved out there and seeing the old Mike Tyson (but tamed and matured) made me tear up... The man went through alot and is coming out of this a wiser smarter better man.. I inspire to learn as much as I can and I thank Mike for that.. didn't have a father in my life so you're left looking else where for role models..
