I don’t understand... I feel so connected to Hopper... I’m actually in my bed in the middle of the night crying my eyes out over a made up character. I think it’s because he reminds me so much of my own dad... He was a drug addict for a long time and we were very emotionally distant... But much like Hopper became more open through out the series... my dad finally wanted a relationship with me as much as I needed one with him. He’s gone now... He died a few years ago... and watching this... It was almost like Hopper was my dad. Everything my dad needed to say to me came from Hopper... But now he’s gone... again...

I remember in season 1 I thought at the beginning he was the antagonist But it turns out he is the protagonist My favourite character I miss you Hopper

Feelings. Jesus. The truth is, for so long, I'd forgotten what those even were. I've been stuck in one place - in a cave, you might say. A deep dark cave. And then, I left some Eggos out in the woods and you came into my life and... for the first time in a long time, I started to feel things again. I started to feel happy. But lately, I guess I've been feeling... distant from you. Like you're pulling away from me or something. I miss playing board games every night, making triple-decker Eggo extravaganzas at sunrise, watching westerns together before we doze off. But I know you're getting older, growing, changing. And I guess... if i'm being really honest, that's what scares me. I don't want things to change. So I think maybe that's why I came here, to try to maybe... stop that change. To turn back the clock. To make things go back to how they were. But I know that's naive. It's just... not how life works. It's moving. Always moving whether you like it or not. And yeah, sometimes it's painful. Sometimes it's sad and sometimes it's surprising. Happy. So you know what? Keep on growing up, kid. Don't let me stop you. Make mistakes, learn from 'em, and when life hurts you - because it will - remember the hurt. The hurt is good. It means you're out of that cave. But, please, if you don't mind, for the sake of your poor old dad, keep the door open three inches.

NOPE !!! there is a door under the platform where the machine stands. Joyce and Murray Bauman (Bald Eagle) flee through this same door. Hopper jumped off the podium before BOOOM... Joyce could not see it because she turned her head while turning the key. Hopper was captured by the Russians as he walked through that door. 🤦🏻‍♂️ My english SUCKS 😂

I don't really care about how evil this may sound but I really hope he stays dead, despite all the possibilities being thrown here in the comments. I think this show has been lacking big consequences and deaths within the main crew, and a loss from one of the very founding characters brought some emotional weight the show needed, and even went well with the somewhat bittersweet ending the season had.

Why am I watching sad parts and things that will make me cry if I’m already depressed because of hopper, Billy’s, and alexie, deaths and other sad parts..... I am completely broken after watching season 3

Does everyone remember at the end of season 3 episode 8, the last scene in Russia when the two guards where getting the prisoner, one of the guards said 'NOT THE AMERICAN' so idk if they were referring to Hopper. Also before he supposedly ‘DIED' he could’ve jumped through the portal sooo.
