*It's crazy to say this or to even think this...* But if 17 years ago you told me that one day Jimmy would be the hardest lyricist in the set I'd tell you that you was smokin' Juelz (back like cooked) crack.
@@ellsworthconstructionllc I'm talking now a days. Because Juelz been on some dope fiend sht and fell off, teef lookin' all crazy, lookin' like he been in the kitchen cheffin' for himself, and J.R. isn't with them anymore, and Cam ain't never been that strong lyrically. I mean don't get me wrong... Cam's flow is nice. But bars and punchlines and wordplay? "Puters putin'"" don't count. Let's keep it a 1000.
@@JohnDoe-kz4gy you gotta listen to cam before purple haze don’t sleep check his first 2 even third album S.D.E sports drugs and entertainment Confessions of a fire Come home with me He wasn’t rapping like that but purple haze was still fire
@@r.a.h.hrealauthentichiphop147 Oh most definitely. I agree. Come Home With Me is fire. But my point still remains... I'm talking about Jimmy is the hardest in the set NOW. Not back in the day, not talking about Cam, Ruger, J.R., S.A.S., 40, or Zeke. I'm saying right now. Jimmy goin' ham. His couple past mixtapes been some summer bangers. That A Bronx Tale one still go hard. Cam always gonna be my fave, I still bump I Can't Feel My Face from Weezy and Elz, I still ride around blastin' Who Am I and his I Can Feel It In The Air. But let's say the past 5 years.... Jimmy carrying everybody on his back. For me it's Dipset for life. I'm a huge fan as you can see.
Sad hip hop got no hall of Fame pension association to make shit prestige.so much gets lost threw time.the game has weakend.niggas won't see it till time passes
Hip Hop has been alive in the Underground for the past decade. But If you mean mainstream then yeah all that trap shit is & weak rappers are fading & these underground artists are getting more shine little by little.
This track is fire…the big daddy Kane “smoother operator” sample and Jay’s “three cuts in ya eyebrow tryna wile out” is what set it off for me…I’ve listened about 50 times…
Since these 2 cats (Jim Jones - Harry Fraud) combined together, they have reincarnated in some way and they grown to their full potential - talent. Much props and legendary work!!
Yo, props to Jimmy sampling Smooth Operator by Big Daddy Kane! Jay-z referenced BDK since Kane was his OG in the early 90s. Jimmy and Maino keep gully!
@@pk7ghalm23 I'm with u on the original sample of Issac Hayes. The 3 cuts reference in the title is a nod to BDK as is the sample that he used for Smooth Operstor. BDK wore his high top fade and cut 3 parts in his eyebrows as was the style in the mid to late 80's in NYC.
This is my era, we were born into fitted caps, fades and trainers/seekers... But truth is I was laughing at old heads going grey wearing fitted caps and sneekers at them ages, 40+.... I hope when I hit 40 I'm humble enough to bow out(don't think I will though 😅)
