Jimmy wasn’t always the best rapper but we respected him because he was so fly man. He the reason everyone in the industry switched from baggy to fitted jeans. And he bought the street/ rock wear gothic look to the game. He the reason why Rocky could come in the game and be respected for his drip. Jim was wearing Rick Owens with Neon Pelle coats . This dead ass the flyest nigga ever to me
@@stackzdollaz9508 facts these lil ass kids have no idea. RIP Stacks an Chinx. Balcony Bundles started that whole wave period. Jim fuckin knows it too idc what this nigga says
Jim not flyer than Rocky and you know that . Jim paved the way but Rocky took it to a new level . Rocky actually does this fashion shit , collabs with J.W Anderson , Dior , Marine Serre , Needles etc .
@@aluthandobottoman4116 im just saying he paved the way we have to be real because Jimmy was wearing Rick Owens in 03. No one knew what that was in rap before that . Then everyone followed suit . They was dressing dusty before that wearing South Pole all that bullshit 🤣🤣
@@aluthandobottoman4116 apples yo orange rocky runway fly but Jim is everyday hustler fly he embodies the dope boy that the kids look up to type fly. Poppin shit on the corner at the store Jim is that fa sho
bro a legendary interview. I remember bumping pop champagne when I was like in 5th grade LOL Juelz and Jones are definitely some of the best of all time
If u say so but he asked about Jim’s first album “on my way to church” and why it’s not streaming services and it’s on Apple Music lol shows he’s really not in tune like that jus for clout he didn’t even get the album title correct at 1:04:15 mark
@@anthonyquinones5380 Adams lies and exaggerations are become apparently clear. The same wit OJ da Juiceman Adam said” I grew up all y’all I was doing BMX bikes everybody knew you if you was in my BMX kcircle”. It’s funny because I’m 42 and I lived in New York and Chicago but never saw all these BMX people listening to hip-hop like that. In fact where we’re all these bmx crews? I was a hip hop concert goer and no never saw all this.unless they was just some regular or nerds types that was listening to hip hop but liked other music more. What’s wierd is not only did he not get the album title wrong, but he said my outfits were always so I was prepared to fight and Santana looked at him and said ,u was fightin like that? And then Jimmy said- I’m gonna look you up when I go home now so what are you good? And he said well yea I’m alright but you can tell I rode.
All I listened to when I was younger was Dipset. Diplomatic immunity volume 1 is still one of my favorite musical projects ever. Tons of classic records.
Love Jim & Juelz … ALWAYS respected them from the very beginning, no cap especially Jim’s ambition and hustle always respected it… this was most definitely needed and needed for the no jumper platform
Dipset represented to me the exact point where Rap Music actually became real Rap Culture. These dudes changed how people dressed, how people spoke, etc. Undeniably one of the best rap groups to ever do it.
You must be young. Hiphop bought through bboy, bucket hats, baggy jeans, graffiti, shell toes, the new jack sound and style, the west coast sound and style, cultural icons like run dmc, nwa, Snoop, biggie, pac... Life existed before you started listening to music.
Damn this is a huge interview was a pleasant surprise drop!! Dip set my literally my fav rap group knew all the records even the under ground ones those mixtapes just hit different craziest beats in the industry. Legit 🔥! DIPSET DIPSET PURPLE CITY BYRD GANG!!
What a treat "Pause"! For this episode. I was about to go watch a movie when I decided to check the feed. You have to interview Jones alone. He has kept DIPSET BRAND alive far longer.
I've really been going through it. We buried my Pawpaw who was a Vietnam vet yesterday. It's definitely guna be hard this holiday season. Thanks for the 🔥 content to distract my mind Adam 🙏🏻
Dipset are legends hands down !!! Just looked at Lush story on SWU yesterday, I had no idea he was on a crazy rollercoaster like he explained, keep ya head up Lush
Finally got around to watching this interview, been kind of busy with Thanksgiving and all I’m glad this interview didn’t disappoint. Top 5 no jumper interview in 2022, that D-Lo one was great also.
Tru hip hop pioneers whether u admit it or not. They’re the embodiment of what rap is now, it’s not all grimy stick up situations, they brought the fly shit to the table and still flexed on all type of beats. I’ll always have the utmost respect for them 2 and Cam fr
@@deljean lol, ditto, i thought i was the only too. He sounds mad old, like he's in his 60s. Idk but i do remember him missing a couple of his front teeth in a video from a couple years ago, maybe that has something to do with it?
I'm from California and used to only listen to West Coast rap as a kid. That changed in 03 when I stole my cousins (Shout out to Dave. I stole it when he was on deployment lmao) Diplomatic Immunity CD and that shit changed my life. It is the top reason why NY rap from 90s to early 2000s is still one of my favorites to this day. SHOUT OUT DIPSET
These are the cats I wanna hear from. These are the goats who gave the world game and changed rap. Hustler and fashion icons. Not drug addicts or mumble rappers. Shout out to no jumper for putting this on.
Goodlooking on the nuance of what 21 savage comment could mean. Proud of both jim and juelz for their stance as o.g's here The idea that "not relevant" should objectively be equivalent to *disrespect* comes mostly from passiveagressive oldschool-hiphop fans, and that type of thinking isn't fruitful for the new generation (already drowned in woke-nonsense)
Not only am I happy Dipset is getting their flowers but im happy Dipset gave Ludacris his flowers. Alot of rappers don't give Luda enough credit on his bars and definitely his Intros to his albums cuz bro Luda had them everytime.
Adam has this button in his brain where when pushed it recites the same line about moving to NYC and listening to (insert rapper here) every single day while doing blah blah blah.
They single handedly transitioned the tall tee era into the fitted jeans era. Harlem cats wore fitted jeans ACG boots or air maxes with fitting shirts and curved fitted hats that weren't loose. It spread to the bronx and then eventually from uptown to downtown into the other boroughs. The transition happened around 2005-2006 but didn't hit the entire city untill around 2009 . Brooklyn cats were baggy until 2010. LA cats were baggy until 2013 the skaters, jerks, Lil wayne (who was 100% influenced and taught directly by jim jones style) and the main stream influence of dipset (harlem style) finally made everyone give in to where baggy was no longer acceptable by 2014 just about nation wide. Ironically around 2019 baggy is creeping back. by 2025 everyone will be wearing looser fit clothes and no longer form fitting..the cycles continue.
Damn I fucking loved this…diplomats really feel like a culture in itself. Watching these two and their relationship is so dope. When lush brought up the newer stuff and juelz said with a big smile “yeah Jim always be throwing me those alleys” - it’s like they all knew each others strengths and propped each other up. Always playing into what each other did best to make 🔥 tracks. Love ‘em all but Jim Jones the 🐐
