If I had had access to videos like this back in the 90s when I was a teen drawing comics, my head would have literally exploded. Jim, you inspired me to become an artist. I went to multiple conventions and actually George Perez met with me every time he came into town! But comics led to me apprenticing under a photo realist painter during my high school years that led to me attending RISD (like the guys on Batman:Year One) and majoring in painting (not illustration). Eventually I TA’ed for freshmen foundation figure drawing and observational figure drawing remains central to my work. But these videos are really inspiring me to revisit my comic years! This is so much fun!

why not try and get some work in this field ? the 2000 ad artists that hand painted panels such as glen fabry and simon bisley ? much of their work is untouchable and looks fucking immense !!!

@@mickeypye2593 I actually have published a comic zine of my own. Since this account is anonymous I won’t say who I am but I have independently published my own comic and currently have three issues that are ready for publication but I don’t have the funds to print them.

Yeah, I tried to keep anything that was instructional about art and cut as much random chit chat as possible. By doing this, I've been able to cut the run time by over half in most cases. Good news is that you can still find the full videos over on Jim's personal channel.
