Jimbo's "Tough" as Shell Coating - revisiting Hard as Shell & trying out the new "Tough" as Shell !!

Jimbo sent me the newly formulated Tough as Shell which replaced his older "Hard as Shell" and I wanted to do a quick 1-month review of Hard as Shell and try out the newly formulated spray on ceramic coating. Checking it out as a drying aid and simply a ceramic spray. Checking slickness, hydrophobics, ease of installation, glossiness, etc. I have high hopes for Jimbo's product. Hard as Shell was easy to install but many reviewers had some difficulty with the beading after a couple weeks or after washes....check out this video to see if I did also.....Thanks again, Jimbo, for sending this out to me for trial!!

I tried to "color grade" myself....never again!! :)
I will do a one month test to see how things are holding up, after a couple washes of course....and see if it has hydrophobic properties left and see how "tough" it is ;)
I'm hopeful....

Great video! I have the “Tough as Shell” and I’m really impressed with it. I wound up purchasing a gallon, and use a little of it after every wash to top off my Ceramic Coating!

Thanks! Absolutely, honestly, i've had professional detailers tell me don't sweat the "pure" ceramic coatings. just put a splash of the spray coatings on after every wash. It's easy and keeps your car shiny. and you don't have to sweat how many years or longevity of coating. ;)

Nice video & edits. I thought it was still the same product, he just had to change the name after Turtle Wax requested he change it, prob. for tradename infringment or something. Where do you get your sound clips from & video editing? Is that a subscription for the music?

@@joelpasserell4525 Thanks ! Yes, Jimbo took the opportunity to tweak the formula since he had to change the labels which is fine. Makes sense. Hard as Shell is a very old Turtle Wax ad campaign. Thought that was silly for them to make him do it but that's life. I use Wondershare Filmora to Edit and Epidemic Sound for music. Thanks for kind words. Takes hours for me to do!
