I love how Jimbo addressed that "beauty" is not the point of drag, but Drag Race very much focuses on that aspect. Thank you Jimbo for being unapologetically you! You go Jimbo!
Drag race is more about reality tv personalities, most of the girls that are almost only about beauty get eliminated soon (Naysha for example).. also the part that shows biggest aspect of beauty are the runways and they rarely be considered when the judges are making their decisions, they want to market their show and make money.. so they need personalities. beauty can be a part of somebody’s drag because everybody’s drag is different. Make-up, hair, fashion is all beauty and can all a big part of drag
She’s so honest I love her. In another interview when she speaks about going off at rita, she completely admits to the fact that she’s human and she tries to be kind but she can’t always keep it cute which I felt deeply 🥲
My favorite part is when Jimbo described how when she was walking away the judges said "we love you" and Jimbo was like "bitch you don't love me! I would be top three of y'all did"🤣🤣 that was a great interview!!
The thing about Jimbo is she’s honest. You can tell that she says what she means. She’s authentic. She has a similar essence to Jinkx, Bob and Trixie and Katya She is just herself, unique, beautiful and just lovely
I’m sorry. But when she started doing her pageant style answer to Rita coming for her look - I fell to the floor. She kills me. Such an icon. In tears of laughter throughout. My favourite part was the interview skills the interviewer displayed - he really knows how to make a guest open up and feel free to talk.
I love how every 5 minutes there's this little 'bleep' in the background, which I am sure is when the IV tops Jimbo up with a little more clownery juice
I think it's a smoke detector beeping because it needs its batteries changed out, but Jimbo's not home in this interview! She's across the pond staying in an airbnb for her UK tour she's doing with Klub Kids London! Go over to Rock M. Sakura's channel to watch them play charades and other dumb party games to kill time in quarantine. Erika Klash is there too, she's Rock's drag family and was also on Dragula!
When Jimbo said fill yourself full of love and then share it with others...I really felt that. We hear cliche reminders to do "love yourself" all the time but the way Jimbo said it along with her consistent positive self affirming messages throughout the interview, really felt like a genuinely inspiring message. Great uplifting interview overall!
I loved when she addressed comments about her makeup, saying she doesn't need anyone to say she's beautiful, she is, she's doing drag and not MUA. Loved her positivity. And love that she says she literally has the best life of all time. Thanks for bringing these interviews, love watching them :) You're so cute and got so much love for the queens. love it
Jimbo is such a cool drag performer. As someone who loves drag that's on the fringier side, and being a total weirdo myself, I really identify with how she said that people will not always understand you or think you're cool. You just keep being yourself, and good things come.
The best part was that she always said there´s nothing going on in her mind when she´s doing the crazy stuff and that she´s always reacting to her mood in this specific situation. I love that and totally admire such a free mind.
I can’t stop watching Jimbo interviews. I love how he tells his side of the story, his random singing, his honesty and just his voice overall. Love love loooooooove him ❤️
My favorite part is finding out Jimbo is ACTUALLY a daddy. Obsessed with Jimbo and hope the US can get this covid shit under control so Jimbo can confidently come through Seattle for me to pay whatever it takes to meet and greet her!! ❤️❤️
best part for me was when Jimbo was talking about what she did with the mirror message. you are beautiful!! also, side note, i love her singing/talking language, thats us in my house lol .
Great interview! Loved the part where Jimbo talks about their clowning roots ..Vancouver Island is so proud to have Jimbo represent us on a global stage ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I'm 9 months late to this interview but I just changed out all the batteries in my smoke detectors and was about to call Home Depot to tell them they sold me some bunk batteries. I couldn't place where the beep was coming from. My husband was like, "why don't you mute your video for a min and listen.". Of course the beeping stopped when I stopped the interview. JFC.
@@bonelegged There's an irksome "beeep" happening every minute or so in he background, which happens when your smoke detector is low on battery life- AND I've heard it during multiple meetings and videos that are shot from home.
Jimbo's filming from an airbnb in this interview! She's across the pond for the UK tour she's a part of with Klub Kids London! Go over to Rock M. Sakura's channel for them playing charades and other stupid party games to kill time in quarantine, I died laughing ❤️
Yes this! We thought something was wrong in our kitchen so kept going in and turning things off, checking smoke detectors, wiping the stove etc (it beeps when there's moisture on it), and eveeennnntually figured out it was on the video! Lol
My favorite part of the interview was hearing about her clown background. I love how philosophies learned from clown college helped her to discover how to overcome the inner voice of doubt and to just live in the moment when she’s on the stage performing. You can definitely tell she loves performing and is ridiculously funny. Awesome interview!
Just listened to the podcast at my office (my ritual) and I just love hearing Jimbo talk about their career and how passionate they are about what they do... and if I ever win anything on RU-vid please let this be it!
So many awesome moments, but I think my general favourite part os Jimbo's honesty and realness. Being real, being accountable, while also being the amazing and inspirational queen that she is. I love Jimbo so much because she's such a great representation of this fine country I line in, she's fierce, she's gorgeous, and she's hilarious! Love clowns, love Jimbo, LOVE this interview!! Thank you so much to both of you for doing this!
Omg I always love when the queens find items from set "magically" in their suitcases lol so cool to hear what Jimbo grabbed! Definitely my favorite part, I'm one of Jimbo's Bimbos always 💜
I love that Jimbo is a Burner, it makes so much sense! From the jokes to the sass, Jimbo is def a drag merry prankster! If I ever see you on the Playa I'll gift you the crown you deserve!!
I loved it whenever she said aboot. I started loving the Canadian accent and I’m Australian so before I watched the show I could never tell the difference between American and Canadian accents. Also I love you Jimbo!
It is very interesting that she shared some specific ways and instances that her clown persona got expressed in her drag persona (entrance, mountain etc.) and more generally how she approaches her art as a whole. Very good interview Joseph, as usual, you combine bubbly and serious elements very skillfully with your questions.
Favourite bit was was his spontaneity, singing, attitude and that he’s actually a father! His open and down to earth attitude permeated this great interview.
Wonderful again! I didn’t like the joker reduction of her mirror message- I did very much like her going into more detail about that. The judges may not have gotten your style, but we did 💕💕💕 These are so nice to watch when I’m waking up for the day. Thank you Joseph!
Another fabulous interview! I always love hearing behind the scenes tea from filming the show, so I loved hearing Jimbo talk about the lip sync that (sadly) sent her home and her fantastic exit.
WOW! What a great interview, great questions that brought some fun insightful answers from our Jimbo. You two carried on like old time friends, making it comfortable and engaging. That was my favourite part! Love you Jimbo! Hope you have a fab time in the UK, but please come back home safely, we miss you xo 💖...and we gladly donated to the Kickstarter campaign, your dream is our dream 💋
I ❤️Jimbo so much!! They were EVERYTHING on this season and episode after episode they gave me life!!! This was such a great interview and hearing first hand about that ICONIC read of Rita Baga was awesome! Best drag race moment of all seasons and of all time!!!
I want them to mix the different countries on all stars, too. Especially if they have all stars every year... how else will they have enough contestants for 10 people each season for all stars?
This interview was incredible and one of my favorite part was knowing how Jimbo react to the news of being in Canada's Drag Race and everything that she said was incredible! I got so inspired by what she said about art not always being comprehended and that notion is what makes her art different and inspires different people to do the same. Jimbo is such an amazing and incredible talented person and it would mean the world to receive an message for her!
Hi Joseph. I loved the interview. I was actually planning on mentioning in the comments how impressed I was with your choice of questions before you dangled the Jimbo cameo as bait. My favorite part of the interview is when you asked if she would be interested in All Stars and then threw out the idea of International All Stars. Seems like people across the board love that idea. Since Jimbo is my favorite queen of all time, I would just jump at any chance to see her again. I’m excited that she is willing and TITTYlated by the idea of an All Stars appearance. I donated to House of Jimbo the other day and genuinely can’t wait to see that come to fruition. My other favorite part was the cryptic WOW reference Jimbo made as part of her future plans. I can’t wait to see what comes of that.
