Try the Jimeoin Show (especially the Cooking Show part), or DAAS the Doug Anthony All Stars, or the Umbilical Brothers. There are so many crazy old shows and acts that were regular Aussie viewing. Mind you, we didn’t have cable/pay TV for ages and only had 5 TV channels, of which one was mostly foreign language. So most Aussies were watching the same shows and it’s why they were such cultural phenomenons.
just wish there were more of them available on youtube! there must've been at least, what, 20 Cooking Shows? not a single one of which ever produced a cooked item, that's genius
+Dave Smith I remember first seeing them on TV coming up from under the stage while an Anthrax song was playing but never been able to find it on the net. Same goes for Tommy Dean comedy clips too. There are some but ya just know there's a tonne more
I really want someone to upload the one that was like a parody of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch baking a cake... I remember rolling around in tears to that!
