This has made it a lot easier to learn, so thankyou. A tip for anyone learning this song: start by learning the basic chord progression, cos all the riffs and licks are directly shaped off of the chord shapes.
Very few people know, but wonderful Czech band "Rudé Kostry" wrote soundtrack for "Vietcong" game series and main theme from that named "Pseudohendrix" is obviously inspired by incredible "Little Wing" intro (I love Little Wing so much!). I highly recommend amazing "Rudé Kostry" music to everyone.. from their soundtracks to even more fabulous two albums (Kytice lží (2002) & Budiž šero (2006) ) with acoustic progressive fusion mixture!
There is so much music out there in the world that, and I can only speak for myself, Americans don’t check into or ever hear. Not all but I’d bet if you ask any random American to name a song from another country they probably don’t know many if any. Some years ago I was in Singapore for work and went to this company’s holiday party. Huge party. They played a game where they played a tune and whoever knew what country it was from got a point. These people knew their stuff and immediately. Countries I never even heard of much less know if a song came from there. It was truly eye-opening. Made me realize how little I know about music when I thought I knew more than a did.
Thanks for this. Helped me finally get all the timings down and then it was really great to loop the video and increase the speed until I could sound like the recording. Thanks again.
The intro is actually jimi hendrix original from axis bold as love slowed down 40 beats good lesson though with the tab and neck ive never heard anyone play it exactly like jimi and no one will or can
thanks man! This was really helpful. I could play the intro without problem, but to be very precise is a different story. I ve cleaned up a bit thanks to your work..:)
getting the timing right to make it sound proper is quite tricky. many thanks forthe video. must say the music is not easy but considering that it is a master piece the effort to learn this music is quite ok. well worth learning
Thee most influential magical guitar works ever created straight from the heavens! IMO hope everyone has a great day thanks nic for this and all you do… you know I’m still waiting on taste the pain tho hit me up so I can book a lesson from the master him self!
This might have been made 4 years ago but It's still helping folks learn this song. Thank you I recently got a new strat and the first song I decided to learn was little wing
Damn first song to learn is little wing? I’ve been playing for over half my life I’m 32 and I just now got little wing down decent enough to get by lol
Thanks man that helped me a lot. There's a mistake though at 0:20, it's written fret 9, where you're actually playing fret 7. Great stuff, continue the awesome tutorials!
Thanks, I knew this once upon a time, but a much better guitarist now and going back to learn it... I'm an advanced played and you got my subscription as I hope this is your standard format... no explanations needed, tabs on screen and a slightly slowed down example... BAM, that's it but that's all I need , thank you sir
bro i wanted to buy you at least a coffee for all the work you do on john frusciante the chili peppers, and as much as your tabs have helped me learn a lot of songs and improve my repertoire a lot
Love your channel. Subscribed today. I like how you are putting up John Frusciante solo songs. Look forward to more. I know songs from Niandra and SFTSYH might be harder to do but would love to see some songs from there in lesson form. Keep up the good work
Is this out-of-pitch by a semitone (too sharp) for anyone else? I have had this problem with pretty much every guitar lesson/backing track ever, and I assume it has to do with 44KHz vh 48KHz but I have everything set to 44KHz currently
I scrolled through the comments looking for this, and you are right, but I believe the correct tab should be 7 on the G-string, instead of 9 on the G-string, not 9 on the D-string.
