@@FretlixGuitar I do not reply often, but kindly know that a lot of us I believe want to improve but we can only do it in small steps. Small chunks of knowledge is therefore much appreciated. You are doing a mighty fine job. Again, thank you

Just so I understand this. For example, rather then playing the A shaped C chord embellishment from video #1 I can instead play the C shaped C chord embellishment from this video? Is it all about how I choose to play the chords and their embellishments within the progression? Thanks, good stuff here.
@FretlixGuitar
@FretlixGuitar 10 месяцев назад
Exactly! Under all of the Major chord shapes there are Major Pentatonic scales meaning you can do these Hendrix fills all over the neck. As you said it’s how each shape falls into whatever chord progression you are playing. Through the Hendrix videos I’ve made I’m showing the options of the same or similar licks and ideas in different places so you have lots of options :) I hope that makes sense?
@jjlbridge7877

Makes perfect sense, thank you! What’s really cool about this is that, as a beginner, I can change it up in so many ways. Use some creativity. Keep it fun and interesting.

Surely you are playing the A major chord-- on the 5-----7 pinkie on 7 th fret----NOT the Major---thats at the 8 ---10 th fret !

Check out my answer on your other comment. The chord I am playing is a 'C shape' from the CAGED system :)

How do you get C Major chord using 5---7 th fret Barre ? -(1:-- 29)-Thats totally wrong -! -THE 8 ----10 TH FRET BARRE IS THE C MAJOR BARRE SHAPE When you use your 7 th fret barre --it sounds TOO HIGH not at all like the C major chord ! Never heard a chord like it ---something very wrong !

It's called the 'C Shape' not a C Major Chord. Take a look at 'THE CAGED SYSTEM' once you understand this what I am explaining will make sense. I don't have a video on RU-vid about this yet but I do have a Seminar on it available at my website. The CAGED seminar is free with any course purchase. In a nutshell - The CAGED system will show you how to play in 5 different areas of the neck, based on the open position chords C, A G E and D. By the nature of the guitar you can play the same thing in many different ways. As a starting point the CAGED system will show you 5 different barre shapes of Major and Minor chords. Hope thats helps!
