Jimin is simply a genius. When he says "I won't stop even if they mock me", you can see the dancers pointing at him, judging him, referring to how people perceive him and the narratives they constantly impose or project on him and him basically saying no matter what you say, I'll keep shining. "Fly away, butterfly Finally free" He is ready to fly. The butterfly lyric mirrored in this effortlessly smooth and sexy move and the fact that he is flanked by two female dancers here just accentuates his appeal. He is lifted up by the throng and here people have noted the parallels to Lie and it is calming to think that Set Me Free Pt 2 resolves and brings closure to the emotions that inspired that song. In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else. In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free. I would say the song has the energy of a light in the darkness. I wanted to express that kind of picture everyone has in their head - a ray of light coming into the darkness is the only thing you can see. If I had to say specific colors, I’d say black and white." Jimin is a true artist in every sense of the word. The birth of the King!
This is part of an album that consist of 6 total songs. This is a pre realesed single, the title track is gonna be dropped on 24th along with the full album
Jimin really inspiring to see how good the music video was with the whole editing process and presentation your getting into the vocals choreography with excellent quality of Dancers mirroring around him
I love it!! I think the sound effects were where he wanted them in the "rap" parts he used his voice when singing. So I think he used them well. He's not technically a rapper, although even though he can, I think the auto tune and sound effects did their job. He did sooo freaking good he did not disappoint.
THIS Is Written On Jimins Body tattoo Rainer Maria Rilke(1899) - I live my life in ever-widening circles... I live my life in ever-widening circles that stretch themselves out over all the things. I won't, perhaps, complete the last one, but I intend on trying. I circle around God, around the ancient tower, and I circle for thousands of years; and I don't know, yet: am I a falcon, a storm, or a mighty song. 지민 바디에 타투, 독일 문학 시인이 1899년도에 쓰여진 시 내용 이라네요 아티스트_ Rainer Maria Rilke (1899) 독일시인 릴케 제목_ I live my life in ever-widening circles... 번역본 내용을 보면 지민의 현 상황을 잘 투영하고 있는 내용이더군요!
I’ve never been fan of heavy autotune but I don’t mind when is used in a artistic way and if I know something about bts and their members is that they use this autotune they are representing the shadow, using it almost as a second voice, to give a different texture instead of vocal support (example: interlude shadow, black swan), which makes sense since in the mv he only freed himself at the end of the video, I’m so curious about how the tittle track will sound like.
My favorite solo release from them so far. I absolutely loved this song. The Auto-tuned rap was obviously his styling choice and felt like the perfect contrast to his vocals. It was a swaggy, dope choice that hobi used on the epic (Run Bts) bridge of all bridges. Personally I don’t like when an artist overuses auto-tune but I love when it’s used tastefully. I can’t wait for the other mv and the album. ✌🏼
I actually think the autotune was quite smart when you think about the title of the song and lyrics. Yes I think it didn’t have to be so intense like the second verse but the parts where it goes back and forth you can hear a clear contrast. It makes the song feel more eerie and unsettling with the use of it. Almost like there’s a “tug of war” between the two sides. I have a feeling the title track will be the complete opposite with softer visuals and focus more on the vocals. Maybe like a serendipity?
I'm begging you to reaction girls reverse "time takes me to love" and "like a star" because there it is kwon eunbi, luda wjsn, soobin wjsn, bora cherry bullet, heejin loona, hanyong apink, monday weeekly, swan purple kiss, seungeun bvndit, juri rocket punch.
This is just one of the songs in the album, and Jimin also said that he doesn’t want to limit his music style, he wants to try more, your comment is just your personal opinion, I like this song very much, Jimin keeps innovating and breaking through, I Proud of him.
They used autotune only in the rap parts, that's literally 10-15 seconds of the song. The rest is all Jimin. And the autotune is a stylistic choice, it's used as an instrument to experiment and add different textures to the song. It's not there to help him sing. Go check out artists like Kanye, Travis, Frank Ocean maybe you'll learn a thing or two about autotune.

@@butterfly.7970 it still sounds bad plus it is used in the entirety of the song.. just in some parts it’s even more grating. you can’t hear a single second of his actual voice
