This song is especially beautiful and alot of ARMY's speculate that this might be a response to the "Love Letters" fan song that ARMY's made for the boys for their anniversary and the song states how we will wait for them till 2025 💜
This is a sweet idea but the clip at the beginning was filmed during his documentary so I think it’s highly unlikely, however I do think the MV could be a response to the army MV.
JIMIN was crying when they came to Brazil in 2019. JIMIN was sick and had a sore throught and could not sing a vocal line song with high pitchs. He stopped and ARMY continued the song for him. He cried a lot, because some ARMY stayed a week in front of the stadium to get the best spot on the venue. Because he always thinks he must present the best to us. But he is a human and can get sick. BARMY understands.😍😍😍 When we saw the Brazillian Concert scene on the video we started crying, because it was memorable for JIMIN.😍😃😃

In addition to a lot of special features and work he puts in it, there are deep stories and beautiful choreographies in every song and music video of Jimin. I remember back in 2019 when we were at Soldier Field in Chicago and them performing in the rain. Even though it was cold out, I've never felt more warm. The energy there was out of this world. And I never felt less alone. It was magical.

In my opinion, Ive only ever seen two artists that really appreciates their fans so much and that’s BTS and Michael Jackson. The immense love that ARMY and BTS have for each other is truly a beautiful thing to see and to be a part of it is even more great. I hope you see this because this would give a lot more context. So ARMYs make "Global army songs" every year during Festa and release it on BTS' anniversary. Jimin, Jk and Rm recently reacted to this year's song called "Love Letters" (you can find it on youtube) that was written, composed and sung by ARMYs from all over. The music video for Armys song "Love letters" has a very similar format as the "closer than this" MV. A lot of the style of lyrics, the entire look and feel of it resembles to it so many armys believe this was Jimin's response to our song 🥺💜which makes it even more emotional and heartfelt.

If you gonna start listening to SUGA songs then you should start with what SUGA has labeled the “Agust D trilogy” btw Agust D is another personality SUGA created, when it was created, he was going through a lot of trials in life that he used Agust D to talk about. Many of the stories Suga told as Agust D stemmed from a place of anger. so you gotta start first with “Daechwita” then “Haegeum” and finally “Amygdala“ and this may be the last time he does an album under the name Agust D. but it would be better if you hear first his old songs and mixtapes, step by step, much better, THANK YOUUUUU.
i 101% agree that you shouldn't pressure yourself to try to listen to bts' music in order. as much as it is may be a cool way to experience it, it isn't necessary, and you can still appreciate their growth while listening to their music the way you want. i'm sure 90% of armys when they first found bts did not listen to their music chronologically. the fun of listening to a song that catches your interest or listening to an album on a whim is part of the joy of discovering a new artist that you shouldn't have to compromise on just for youtube! plus, the authenticity makes it more fun for us too, as the viewers. and most importantly more fun for you

12:20 if I remember correctly (this was in 2017) Jimin lost his voice during the tour and he couldn't really sing the song which was why he cried. I also haven't seen this footage since the day it happened. We as an ARMY have a code where we try not to share clips where the members are crying out of sadness/frustration (which is different from them crying because of happiness/joy).

5:55 When you said it feels like a fan made music video, when I first watched this it almost felt like it was made in response to an actual Army song project called "Love Letters" that came out in June 2023 during FESTA week celebrating BTS' 10 years. Such a beautiful song, and actually Jimin, JK and RM's each individually watched it and responded to it during their lives. But in the MV that came out for it, it was very similar to this with clips from the past and a message of 'through all we've been, and all that's happening now, we'll be here in 2025 and beyond'. The ONLY true advantage to going in order with the songs is that you can visually and vocally track their growth over the past 10 years. That can be a good thing, HOWEVER, it can also be a bad thing...as you stated yourself, it can feel a lot like "work". Bouncing around can be much more fun, because it allows you to play to your OWN interests. More into rap? Start with rap line songs. More into the singing? Start with the vocal line. Want to dig into each of their personal talents? Start with their solo works. Just want to have fun? Do some polls as to "what should I watch next?" Whichever way works FOR YOU is the way you should do it. As for the military...there's so much I want to say, but I'm going to try to condense it. (NOTE: I did say "Try"!) Anyway, I've said it before and I'll say it again.... 1 - I don't think anyone is more suited to military life than idols in general, but especially BTS. Idols, in general, usually have VERY strict schedules. Which, of course, so does the military. So they've been used to that strict/tight scheduling for years. 2 - They all WANTED to serve. Even if they had gotten an exemption...that exemption only meant they wouldn't have HAD to serve. I do believe every single one of them would have still gone in anyway. As able-bodied Korean males, it's just a part of who they are. Which is why I am actually happy they're serving. Sure, as ARMY, it sucks we won't see all 7 of them together for a while, but...also as ARMY, we know that they WILL be back as soon as they can. 3 - With all the shit they've had to put up with - pre-debut to even now - military life should be easy for them. I am in NO WAY saying military life ISN'T hard. Even for those who want to make the military into their career, it's tough!!! However, these are 7 exceptionally strong, confident, Korean men. Yes, they'll have tough times here and there, but it won't ALL be bad. I honestly believe they'll make the most of it, in whatever/whichever ways they can. #DreamingOf2025
Hey, just a recommendation but if you want you can leave rise of bangtan and instead watch bts' recent documentary "BTS monuments: beyond the star". It has the same concept of career journey as rise of bangtan but its bts' pov, which will be much more efficient for newer fans. Till now only 2 eps have been released, two eps come out every wednesday, there's a total of 8 eps.
