😍🐥Jimin, who wrote most of the lyrics, composed melodies, & helped produce all his songs, worked alongside Pdogg, (legendary in-house BigHit genius producer, along with a couple of other producers, GHSTLOOP & Evan for his whole FACE album! Ft songs “Face Off”, “Like Crazy”, Alone”, (hidden track only in physical album specifically for army), “Letter”, & “Set Me Free Pt.2”. Jimin worked close to Pdogg, who he’s become quite close with already when creating Jimin’s earlier hit song “Friends” that he ft, V on, (“Friends” was in Marvel the Eternals film), that Jimin also wrote , composed, as well as helped produce previously, along with other songs in the past. Jimin worked so hard, non stop, while creating his FACE album that he pretty much stayed over Pdogg’s house, all of the 10 months it took to create the album, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production Diary documentary! Plus, as shown here, Jimin apparently worked on other songs with his production crew team. This time for “Closer than This” Jimin even had legendary Ayo the Producer, as well working on it. It looks like there might be more songs eventually being released as well, but this song was a special gift to army from Jimin knowing how much army would be missing the members now all gone to the military. All these photos, & clips shown are all the times & memories BTS have shared with army who helped them with all their non stop support throughout the yrs, including helping them receive many of their awards! RM has even mentioned several times in his speeches, as well as ea and every member that there would be no BTS without army and all their love & support! 🙏❤‍🔥🥹😢🥰🐥😇

I think this song is for Army, but I also think it's for the other BTS members too. There are a lot of hugs, and they are away from each other too. The group you saw at the beginning is his production team. Have you reacted to Jimin's Production Diary(Weverse) , Road to D-Day(Disney), Hope in the Box(Disney)? I’ve noticed that you’re really good at language and you pick it up far quicker than most. It makes it more difficult that they’re stylizing it as Jung Kook, and I can see folx in the comments are trying to help, but it’s more difficult if you’re not a native speaker and there are nuances and sounds that aren’t part of every language. Hard/soft consonants and how that is Romanized for Western audiences, etc. I’m not a native speaker, but my mom is from Korea and often has had to work with me to get the correct pronunciation on things since I grew up speaking mostly English. Hit me up if you want tips or know how to pick up on these pronunciations based on how the Romanized versions vs being able to read and sound out the actual words/language. Otherwise I’ll just give you a thumbs up for always doing stellar reactions 💜

I appreciate this reaction, as I do all of yours, because this song was really not meant for the masses per se, it was definitely a gift from Jimin’s heart to ARMYs thus all of the specific footage he included because he knew it would automatically be recognizable by ARMY. The best way to know how to pronounce names is watch interviews/shows and see how others pronounce them. Korean is hard to romanised especially certain vowels e.g eo, u, ae,ay. I can tell you it’s Jeong-Gug but spelling will always be different & how will you be able to pronounce it correctly? 😅😅 if the language is not your mother tongue, errors are allowed 😊

JK's name although the official english spelling is JungKook, the Korean pronunciation is Jeong-Gug. simply put the K(ook) sounds more like a G here. Honestly Korean has K, G, KK, GG, Kh Gh, sounds even put them in romanized english, that can be so confusing. the sound varies depending on placement what vowel or what syllables it's between.... I don't think it's that big of an issue though, the boys & us call him Cooky anyway XDDD (that's the name of JK's character in BTS21, the animated characters they created). Jimin's bday is 13 Oct & Tae's 30 Dec (coming up!) It's ok if you would listen to the song but not your top favorite song. Every one has their preference. Plus it's not Jimin's intention to make this a top-charting, huge hit song anyway. Similar to the hidden track "Letter" (Dear ARMY) in his Face album as personal letters to us as a comfort & reassurance. the melody or the repetitive parts are more for ARMY to hum along easily & remember till their return. Instead of any insane special vocal techniques, the vocal range is more of Jimin's natural range & just his natural voice.

There’s always some peeps that wanna make a big deal out of things. To get them off your back, Jungkook (정국) phonetically is pronounced Jongu. It has an ㅓ(eo) instead of ㅜ (u) and the ㄱ (g\k) at the end is soft so is almost silent. People forget that SK has a completely different alphabet so the letters are not going to come across the same. ✌️💜

Makes me miss him more I just saw this behind the scene, and when he said this song was for us (ARMY) and he will came back from military, i just like He still want to left something for his fans, seeing V haircut, i knew it was just recent , just few days before the enlistment and yet he still working hard for ARMY! I looked up on how to pronounce Jungkook’s name a long time ago and it said that in Korean pronunciation it would sound like Chon-guk.
