Catherine O'Hara is not intimidated. She holds her own. Maybe because she's known Martin for so long. It doesn't hurt that she has that SCTV experience and talent.
I thought I had seen all Jiminy Glick stuff. This was great. Must of been alot of Martin Short show before Glick where he first did this character. A real insane comic treat.
@@r.p.mcmurphy6623 haha, you’re mad and hate your pathetic life : ) I think you should sue whoever told you that you wouldn’t be all by yourself forever ♾ hating you loser incel life.
Mr or Ms Benjamin, I am tending to agree with one HUNDRED per cent! I’m binge watching these, just as you may be also. I’m born in 63, and remember this show from way back, but didn’t see it regularly. I’m so impressed w his improv brilliance! Cant think of anyone who tops hiM. what do you live about him and his JG?
If Lola Heatherton hadn't died in that ski-lift threesome tragedy back in 2013 she would surely have been America's first female President in 2016😢 Thank you for your service ma'am. 🇺🇸 We had to endure a poor substitute for your talents. Anyone want to help co-fund a seance to reach out to her now in 2023???
I love the idea of Conan O'Brien being 5'7", and the rest of the actors averaging at about 4'3" 😂 You know what they say? Actors are short and comedians even shorter...
Ronnie Zito was Chris Guest! I was so confused for about five seconds and then he started speaking and I was like "Holy shit that's Nigel Tufnel!". I fucking love Martin and Chris. Both of them together is just so awesome. "Rock 'n Roll!" -
@@davidr6856 Yeah, he's so fucking great in literally everything. It did take me a second before I was like "Holy shit, that's Chris Guest!?!?". That was a pleasant surprise. -
@@lonelyone I know how that goes. It happens to me all the time & it drives me fvcking crazy! When I can't place it, or I'll place it & then I can't think of the name of the person when I'm 100% positive I know the person's name but my brain just fails to access that information. It's so goddamn frustrating! -
From what I remember, there actually was some celebrities that had no idea Glick was Martin Short. After he became more popular for his short time (No pun intended) as Glick, they eventually knew. Some you can even tell who doesn't know.
I really miss Stacey. Jiminy is better when he’s got someone to blame and abuse to balance his short comings. It always made Jiminy happier when he could make Stacey cry.
If anyone can point me in the direction of more Herbert Hoover High stuff I'd be very grateful....I've been searching for ages, and previously only found 1.👍
I saw cell phones in that Herbert Hoover High sketch, & they only came in in the '90s, right? Martin was born in 1950. He's playing a teen. Do the math.
I thought Patricia would have a better personality and sense of humor. This is why I don't like seeing celebrities outside of playing their parts. They just read lines. Nothing else. The aura of Hollywood was a real thing. The only thing that kept us interested. Now that I know that she's uptight, I won't look at her the same again. Love is lost....
Had high hopes for more chemistry between Glick and Patricia Heaton. Maybe she didn't find him funny or wasn't good with the comedy improv? ( Thanks for the upload! )
I feel bad for Martin Short. he tried to have a sitcom on NBC it got cancelled rather quickly. a late night talk show that lasted one season. I think Jiminy Glick may have been the only successful show he did.
@@will.a.benjaminIf you haven't already, check out SCTV from the 80's. Marty does many different characters, all wonderful. Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, and many other talented people are also on the series.
Michael McGrath was a Tony Award- winning actor who primarily worked on Broadway for decades. Google his work. He also happened to be my best friend in show business and a mentor to me. We were in a few Broadway shows together. Incredibly, he passed away last Fall. Marty was one of his best friends.
