This was the first BYU basketball game I ever went to. Couldn't have asked for a better game

I was at this game. 16th row. Loudest and best sporting event or game I’ve ever been to.

Such a great game! I was one of the students who waited outside for hours to see this game, and it was a blast!

This was probably SDSU's best team they've had ever or in a long time, and it just happened to be the same time as Jimmer's year.

best college basketball player ever

As a student at BYU in the mid 70’s, I was able to see some great basketball, including some great NCAA tournament games. And a lot of people attended those games that were unfamiliar with BYU and it’s campus (and it’s rules). That in mind... I once heard a guy, unfamiliar with BYU, yell: “Where the hell can a guy get a God Damn beer around here?” The question was funny, but the response from the hundred or more (majority Mormon attendees) attendees was hilarious was: thunderous laughter!!!

He was blackballed.

If Jimmer brought that attitude and confidence to the Kings when he got drafted later that year, the Kings would’ve made the playoffs for sure. He had Steph Curry vibes at BYU. Once he got in the NBA it’s like he folded, maybe because he was playing against celebrity athletes and it starstruck him causing him to lose all that confidence. He had good moments but you can tell he wasn’t confident on the NBA playing field.
