I wrote Because He Lives in 1970. The baby I held that December was Ryan Dobson! God kept His promise to me that my son would have a good life! And I like this version by Jimmy Fortune. He praises God as he sings.

Why don't churches still sing songs like this in the worship services, instead of that repetitious stuff that is passed off these days as "praise music"?? If they did, you could pretty much guarantee that the church rafters would be lifted and shaken, and people loudly sing the Lord's praises once again.

OsakaRose I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this insane world without your husband. I keep thinking it will get easier, but it doesn't. Even at family gathering with my wonderful kids and grandkids, I'm still so lonely. I feel like the best part of me died. I long to go home. May God give you peace and comfort.

Gotta go to my garage to feed a stray and turn on the lights so she can go around the garage. She got trapped when a fellow was trapping possums and raccoons under my deck on the parking pad. She is so pretty but not spayef so she isnt going back out soon. Too cold right now.

RU-vid is like a time machine, one minute you are watching a great singer, young, dark hair, full of energy and then the very next click you are watching an elderly man, white hair, older looking a little age in the voice but still sounding wonderful. You forget sometimes the age of people are as you get lost in watching how they used to be and how you remember them. Great to see and hear Jimmy's still singing.
