My Dad passed away in April of this year, and this was one of the songs we had played at at his funeral. My Mom chose this song. The other song we had played was "God Bless The USA" by Lee Greenwood. I chose that song, because my Dad was in the Navy during the Korean War. His funeral was a military funeral. He and My Mom celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last December. Everybody who knew my Dad and who loves him misses him so much! He was one of those people who never seemed to have any enemies - very few, if any at all. My Dad was a Christian, and I know he's in Heaven with Jesus. We all love you and miss you, Dad. We'll see you again when the Lord says it's time.

I don't believe Jimmy wrote this but my, he wrote some good ones! The only gospel one I know of....or have heard is "I Believe" He wrote some great country songs! Including, but not limited to, "Elizabeth" "My Only Love" "Name On The Wall" "Too Much On My Heart" "Forever" Some awesome, wholesome, clean 🎶 🎵 music! Love you Jimmy Fortune!! I've noticed everytime I've watched this that 3 of the 4 (quartet) that was formed for the video at The Gaither Studio """"Brotherly Love"""" is here. The only one missing is Bradley Walker. I just lost my husband of 41 years New Years Eve. (41 years married, 43 years together) I can't think of anything that could be more shocking than to find a loved one on the bedroom floor......gone. I'm still in shock. It was just so unexpected. The coroner said it was a massive heart attack and at the age of only 63! That may sound old to some of you youngsters out there but believe me, it's not. My prayer is that you will come running through the shallow waters, reaching for my hand........ when my time comes! I love and miss you Jim! Until we meet again....keep drawing those pictures in the sand! Fly high angel!

No dpubt God lead me to this song while listening on youtube. It just popped up and I had never heard it before. I lost my husband suddenly and have found comfort in my deep grief from this marvelous performance. Rather than cry like many slow sad songs, I smile all the way thru it picturing my husbands joy. My husband heard this song one night when Jimmy Fortune was on Larry's Country Diner. He wanted it played at his funeral when the time came. Well he passed back in January and I has it played at his funeral. We were married 56 years and he had been really sick the past 3 years, and I know he is in a better place but I sure do miss him. That is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard and it will always be special to me .

I heard this song by Jimmy Fortune a few years ago and immediately loved it. My husband of 54 years passed 11 years ago and I decided I wanted this song played at my funeral because I know Wally is waiting for me. I am so happy to find this CD today. Every other place I looked it said this CD was no longer available. Even Amazon didn't have it! It will sound so beautiful when it's played. I hope the people listen carefully to the words! This song says it all. We lost our 20 yr old son, and I know when we see him again, he will run to us and we will never have to let him go again.. I recently lost my wife of nearly 52 years after a 7-8 year journey with Alzheimer's Disease. And a dear friend, "Chappy", who is a retired Baptist minister (and retired as a Lt. Col. in the Army after serving two tours in 'Nam!) and who plays the dobro, while I play the guitar and sing bluegrass myself, sent me this video. I had seen it before and had actually performed it. My mother was in hospice care ready to make her journey to Heaven. I told her to go to Jordan's River and wait for me when it is my time to go on to Heaven. We spoke of it earlier also. I took care of my mother for 1 1/2 years before she p passed I wouldn't trade those years for anything!! I miss her so very much and cry ALOT😢. I love this song Jimmy I only wish my mother could have heard it....
