Some years ago I saw Jimmy play with Allan Holdsworth on Cleveland's west side at the Winchester. Allan was great (of course), but Jimmy held down the fort like no one else. The drummer (who's name escapes me) was also amazing and the two worked together beautifully. A pretty big accomplishment considering the complexity of the music. First bassist I've seen that could actually extract double bass-like sounds from an electric. Seems like a down to earth guy from this interview. Very cool.
