I saw Jimmy play this back in the day at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival at a Woody Guthrie tribute type workshop off the main stage and it just blew me away how awesome it was. I ran into him on the grounds somewhere and I gave him the mad props he totally deserves.
Went to this show to see Elephant Revival but was simply blown away by Jimmy LaFave, my first time seeing him. Just heard Anaiis Mitchell perform her take on it last night in Lyons. What a beautiful yet haunting ballad.
